Valentine's day prompt #3

The One Where It's Valentines Day.

You swung your arm back and forth as you held Shouto's hand. You were walking down by the beach and his warm hand felt nice compared to the chilly February air.

"Today was perfect Sho. Thank you."

"You deserve perfect because you are perfect."

"I'm far from perfect... You just like to spoil me too much."

Shouto stops walking and pulls you closer to him. He stares down at your eyes and pulls his lips up into a smile.

"You deal with having our relationship criticized by the media, you're working on being an amazing hero, on top of that, you deal with the Todoroki family drama. You are perfect."

"Dealing with Enji doesn't make me perfect, it just means a have a lot of patience."

Shouto drops your hand and sits on the ground. He lays his jacket down on the ground and pats it for you to sit on. A gentleman didn't let his lady sit on the gritty the sand after all.

"You deal with my father a lot. He's been mean and horrible to you ever since we were kids, but you deal with him... You're perfect for that, which is why I have another gift for you."

"Sho, you've already spoiled me so much today... Flowers, chocolate, this dress, hell, even a three-course candle-lit dinner that probably cost more than my house."

You grab his hand and lean your head against his shoulder while doodling in the sand with your other hand. You didn't need him to spoil you. Simply enjoying this moment with you was enough.

"I've wanted to give you this gift ever since we were kids... Please just accept this last gift."

You stop doodling and give Shouto your full attention as he gets up and sits directly in front of you. He smiles at you and he looked so happy, you wanted nothing more than to have a camera to capture it.

"[Y/N], when we were in kindergarten, you gave me a ring pop on Valentine's day and said it made us married. Well, I have a real ring, and I want you to real-life marry me."

"Oh, my god."

Bringing your hands up to your mouth, you gasp at the sight of the ring. It was huge. It must have cost a fortune. For once in your life, you didn't complain to Shouto about how much he spent on you and accept the pricey gift.

You wrap your arms around Shouto and fall back together against the sand. You smile against him as you give him your answer.

"Proposing on Valentine's day is cliche, but I guess so is falling in love with your kindergarten husband."
