Y/N'S POV:

You sighed as you left the train and went into a carriage, you and Luna Lovegood had been best friends since your first year. Although this year you had started to have different feelings for her, you didn't really understand it.

Your parents had always said that a boy should feel this way about a girl and vise versa, it was weird that you were feeling all this. Even though you knew your parents said this was wrong, you had realized this through the Christmas break.

"Y/N, hi!" You heard Luna's cheer voice say as she sat down with you in the carriage and pulled you out of your thoughts. "Luna! Hi" you said a bit startled, "how was your break? How's your dad?" you asked her. Desperately trying to get your thoughts on anything else than how much you just wanted to embrace her and never let her go.

"Y/N, are you even listening to me?" Luna asked you and you saw the disappointment in her eyes. "No I am so sorry Luna, it's just, I've been thinking a lot lately, and well, I'm Pansexual" you said with a lot of hesitation.

"Y/N that's amazing! thank you for telling me" Luna said once again in her amazingly cheer voice and you smiled sadly at her. "It isn't amazing?" Luna asked as she saw the sadness in your smile.

"Well, you see, I like this girl but you know how homophobic my parents are, they'd freek if they knew" you said looking at your hands. "Don't worry, you have me" Luna said putting a hand on your shoulder as your carriage pulled up to the huge gates of Hogwarts.

"Thank you Luna" you said as you two made your way off of the carriage and into the great hall of dinner. When you reached the Great hall Luna and you separated to your own tables. Luna sitting alone at her table like always and you sitting with some Hufflepuff girls in your year.

THIRD PERSON POV:

Once the food appeared on the tables you put a little bit of roasted ham and a tiny bit of mashed potatoes. You played with your food wondering if you should tell Luna your new feelings for her or not.

Although what you didn't notice was the way Luna looked at you, like she just wanted to sit beside you and hold your hand in the halls. She looked at you like you looked at her, although sadly both you and Luna completely oblivious to it.

Y/N'S POV:

You sighed as you entered your common room for the night, you laid down on your bed and fell asleep thinking about Luna.

The next day when you woke up it was Sunday, you decided you'd tell Luna today, she had to know these new feelings of yours towards her. Once you entered the great hall for breakfast you saw Luna sitting at the Ravenclaw table alone and you went over to her.

"Hi" you said awkwardly, "hi, good morning" Luna said her voice as happy as ever, you smiled a small smile at Luna. "Good morning to you too" you said and paused a little as you fought with yourself.

"Luna, can we talk after breakfast? Someplace quiet like around the black lake?" you asked her, "of course Y/N" she said. You flashed Luna a smile before going to the Hufflepuff table and eating some breakfast.

Once breakfast finished you hurried to get your coat, your Hufflepuff scarf and your winter boots before going to meet Luna in the entrance hall. Once you reached the entrance hall there Luna stood waiting for you in her winter clothes.

"Hi" you said as you approached her from the back, "oh hi" she said and you two walked out of the castle and to the grounds. Once you reached the black lake you stopped walking and looked at the lake.

You became more and more nervous as the seconds passed by, "what's wrong?" Luna asked you putting her hand on your shoulder like she had done the evening before. You smiled nervously at her and took a deep breath in and let it float back out.

"Luna, this may be a bit of a shock, but please don't stop being my friend" you said not looking at Luna. Sure you were both only thirteen but who cared, really, "of course I won't stop being your friend" Luna said smiling reassuringly at you.

You smiled a bit back at her and took another deep breath in and out "I like you as more than a friend" you said without looking at her. Luna squealed a bit and hugged you tightly to her, you were a bit shocked but hugged her back almost instantly. You buried your nose in the crook of Luna's neck and smiled at her warm touch.

Once Luna pulled out of the embrace she smiled at you, "I like you too Y/N" Luna said and your smile grew a lot bigger. "Really?" you asked surprised, "of course" she said happily and hugged you again.

This time you pulled out of the hug, "would you maybe I don't know maybe want to be my girlfriend or something?" you asked Luna. "Of course!" Luna screamed and kissed you on your cheek.

You blushed a bright red color and smiled at her, she took your hand in hers and you two started walking again. Your hands intertwined together, your fingers in between Luna's and Luna's in between yours.

You and Luna were dating, you were both thirteen and dating, you were a Hufflepuff and Luna was a Ravenclaw but you were dating. You were dating the sweetest and cutest girl in all of Hogwarts.

You smiled to yourself as you and Luna walked on in a comfortable silence your hands still intertwined. Once you reached the dungeons where you would have to go seeing as it was almost curfew Luna stopped.

"Good Night" she said before kissing your forehead and skipping away towards the Ravenclaw tower.

You went to sleep with a bright smile on your face that night.
