Loki was walking down the streets, a book clutched to his chest, next to his brother Thor

'Do I really have to accompany you, brohter?' Thor asked with a moody tone in his voice. Loki rolled his eyes and nodded, dragging Thor along with his onto his sleeve. Thor whined and let his shoulders hang loose.

The two brothers walked into a bookstore, because Loki needed a few more books to survive on this stupid planet called Midguard. So he had forced his brother to come with his, since he wasn't allowed to leave Stark Tower without a babysit.

Thor politely greeted the staff, while Loki went to search for some new books. Thor sighed as he realized this was going to take longer than eating a whole box of Poptarts.

'I thought you despised this planet,' Thor taunted. Loki clenched his teeth.

'I do.'

'Then why are you walking into a bookstore on Midguard?' Thor wanted to know.

'There are multiple reason why.'

'And those are?' Loki froze. Thor kept on walking, but stopped in his tracks as he realized his brother wasn't walking beside him anymore. 'What's wrong?' Loki didn't meet Thors eyes, just kept on gazing in front of him, slowly lifting a finger to point at a woman next to a pile of books. Thor followed Loki's finger, and his eyes landed on the young, beautiful woman.

'That's a woman,' Thor explained. 'She is probably human. A mortal. You know, brother, humans are quite interesti-'

'I know, you idiot!' Loki snapped, dropping his arm next to his lean body as he glanced from the book he was holding to the woman. 'That's my favourite author!' he said enthusiastically. Thor rolled his eyes and sighed, aklready forgetting about the Poptarts back at the Tower.

'Please, Loki, control the fangirl inside you,' Thor begged. That earned him a glare from the black-haired God.

'Shut up. I'm going to talk to her,' Loki reasoned.

'No, brother. I am your babysit. I'll tell you what you can or cannot do,' Thor said with a grin. Loki pouted and looked at his inspiration.

'But... I thought you wanted me to be happy,' Loki said, his eyes filling with tears. Thor gasped and glared at him.

'Don't look at me like that,' Thor said strictly. Loki tilted his head to the side, as if begging Thor. 'Oh, fine! Go ahead! But I'll go back to the Tower. You'll get to explain yourself when you get back.' Thor turned around and headed to the exit of the shop. Loki instantly smiled and called his brother back.

'Thank you, brother! I love you,' he said. Thor looked back and ran up to him, embracing him.

'Oh, Loki!' Thor sobbed. 'I love you too!'

'Let me go, you oaf. I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of my favourite author!' Loki hissed as he pushed his brother of him. Thor nodded and patted his brother on his shoulder.

'Have fun, Loki.'

'I will.' And with that, Loki turned towards the woman and slowly approached her. His stomach churning, his heart speading up and he had the feeling like he was breathing bricks.

Once he stood behind the woman, he cleared his throat. You looked behind you and saw him standing there.

'Hey, can I help you?' you asked with a smile, putting the book down you were holding. Loki scratched the back of his head and nodded.

'Are you Y/N L/N?' he asked timidly. You grinned and nodded. 'Oh my God,' Loki whispered to himself as he controlled himself to not jump up and down from excitement. 'You are my favourite writer,' he squealled. He showed you the book he was holding under his arm, which you recognized as your own. You laughed.

'Really?' you wondered aloud.

'Yeah, it is so well-written. I don't even know where to start to explain myself,' he rambled.

'Thank you,' you said as you felt your heart melting at the words of the stranger. 'Well, you know my name, but I don't know yours.' His eyes widened.

'Y-You want to know my n-name?' he whispered, more to himself than to you. 'I'm Loki.'

'Nice to meet you, Loki,' you said happily. He bit his lip. 'I must say that this is the first time someone knows about my book. Not many people recognize me.'

'Can I ask you something?' Loki asked. You nodded. He then asked you a question, but you didn't quite catched it. 'I beg you pardon?'

'C-Can I have your signature?' he said while gesturing to the book he was holding. A huge smile crept up your face. This was new, but fun. It meant the world to you to know this grown man liked your book and took the time to read it. It just meant so much to you.

'Of course...' you said, taken aback by the question. 'Do you have a pen?' He nodded enthousiastically and grabbed one from his pockets, giving it to you along with his book. Giggling, you put your signature on the first page of the book, along with a 'Thank you for enjoying the book! Much love, Y/N'

You handed it back to him, and he had the biggest smile you had ever seen on his face.

'Thanks you so much...' He then gathered all of his courage. 'Are you single?' You choked on air and looked into his eyes as your heart fluttered.

'Why? Are you asking me to go on a date with you?' you flirted while biting you lip. His confidence boosted by your answer, made him reply without thinking.

'Yes.' He cleared his thoat, a huge grin on his face. 'Yes, I am.'

'I would love that.' And with that, you took his arm and you both left the bookshop.
