"Where did it go?" You grumbled to yourself as you frantically pulled everything off of the bed to shake it all out.

You were hoping that somewhere in the sheets or the blankets was what you were trying to find, hoping that you'd hear it fall onto the hardwood floor when you shook them out.

But, to your dismay, after shaking them all, your ring was nowhere to be found.

You cursed under your breath and thought about checking to see if your ring fell under the bed or between the tiny crack between the bed and your nightstand.

But you heard Lisa clearing her throat from the doorway just as you knelt on the bedroom floor.

You turned to look at her, trying to hide your nervousness behind a forced smile.

"Hi, baby," you greeted.

"Good morning, my love," she happily replied as she walked to you. "How's my beautiful wife doing?"

Hearing her call you that makes your heart flutter every single time and you doubt that feeling will ever fade away.

You and Lisa just got married two days ago.

You can't go on your honeymoon for a few more days, as her schedule is too hectic right now to do that.

But that was fine with you because that day isn't far from now and will be here before you know it.

You're just happy to be married to the love of your life.

You're happy to see that you can fall more in love with each other every day and that, soon, you'll be able to start your own little family together.

"Fine." You said, still trying to hide the fact that you were nervous due to only having your engagement ring on your finger.

"Good." She smiled before looking at the pile of blankets on the floor. "What's happening in here? Any reason everything that was on our bed is now on our floor?"

"Uh, no?" You answered but Lisa looked as though she knew you were lying.

Because she did.

"Oh. I see." She said. "So you're not looking for something? You didn't lose anything?"

You sighed and stood up as she smirked.

"You know I lost my ring, don't you?"

"Yeah." She grinned before putting her hand into the back pocket of her pants.

Pulling her hand back out, you saw that she was holding onto your wedding ring.

"You found it!"

She took your hand, sliding the ring back on your finger.

"You left it on the bathroom counter."

"Oh, that's right," you gasped, remembering where you left it now. "I took it off before I took my shower. I was afraid it would slide off my finger and fall down the drain. I guess I forgot to put it back on."

She shook her head with a laugh.

"I can always get you a new one."

"I know but that's not the point, Lili. This one is special. Even if it gets lost or stolen or something, another one won't be the same. You gave me this one when we said our vows. It will always be special to me."

"I know. I feel the same way about mine." She said as she stared down at the wedding ring on her finger with a sparkle in her eyes.

"But it's all okay because you found it. Thank you, baby." You said before kissing Lisa's lips as she put her hands on your hips, pulling you closer.

"You're welcome, sweet girl. And, if you ever lose it again, you can tell me. Don't get all frantic, don't destroy our home looking for it,"

You laughed and dropped your forehead to her shoulder.

"Just tell me. I won't get upset. We'll look for it together. Everything we do, everything we go through, we do together now and always."

"Okay." You agreed before giving her another kiss as you wrapped your arms around her neck, feeling so, so in love with her.
