"Lisa!" You called out as you walked through the door. "Please tell me that you're home." You spoke under your breath and let out a sad sigh as you looked around the living room, only to find it empty and dark. The house was quiet and still. No sound of fast footsteps on the stairs or her beautiful voice and laugh.

You pulled your phone out of your pocket and quickly scrolled through your contacts till you came along her name. You pressed the phone to your ear and nervously bounced your knee and chewed on the skin of your lip.

It took two rings before you heard her voice.

"Y/n? Hey, baby. Everything okay?"

Your breath hitched at her words, your mind flooded with memories of your terrible day.

"No." You sighed. "I-I thought you'd be home."

"I'm sorry, my love. I got caught up in the studio." She explained. "What happened? You seem really sad. Are you alright? Do you need me to come home?"

"No." You spoke and squeezed your eyes shut. "Just a bad day, but I'll be okay. I'll let you go so I don't keep you from anything important. I'll see you when you get home. Love you." You said quickly and heard her begin to protest as you ended the call.

You dragged your feet up the stairs and into your shared bedroom. You fell back onto the bed and closed your eyes. It felt so good to lay there in the comfort of your bed as you let the stress fall from your shoulders and the hurt from the bad day leave your heavy heart.

You took a few minutes to catch your breath before you got up. You went to the closet and pulled out one of Lisa's hoodies and instantly pulled it over your head. You breathed out a sigh of contentment when it was over you, to keep you warm and bring you comfort.

You walked back to the bed and grabbed the remote. You flipped on the tv and turned on your favorite show before turning off the light and crawling into her side of the bed. You pulled the covers over yourself and closed your eyes, hoping you could just sleep the time away and you'd wake up to Lisa beside you.

But you suddenly heard her call out your name and heard her feet on the stairs.

"Y/n?" She called again as she reached your room. You both stared at each other when she stood in the doorway, but you broke the strong eye contact to look down at your lap.

"Oh, baby." She mumbled sadly, racing to you before crawling into bed beside you. "You had a bad day, huh?"

You nodded your head and melted into her touch as she laid her hand on your back.

"I'm sorry. But I'm here with you now. I'll make it better." She spoke softly as she reached over to brush a lock of hair behind your ear.

"You really came home for me?"

"Of course, silly." She giggled as she took your hand. "You were sad. I couldn't just stay back and let you feel sad. I had all my stuff done for the day already when you called. I was just hanging back to watch the girls. But I explained that I had to take off, something really important came up. My girl needed me."

You cracked a small smile and it only got bigger when she kissed your cheek.

"I stopped by that cute little bakery that you love so much. Got you your favorite." She said as she grabbed the bag from the floor, pulling out a little box with your favorite snack inside.

"That's so sweet of you. Thank you."

"That's just the start of it all, my baby. I'm thinking we binge-watch your favorite show or have a movie marathon. Maybe order takeout if you get hungry. And, of course, we will cuddle."

Your eyes lit up and you instantly crawled onto her lap and threw your arms around her neck. She fell onto her back with a laugh but stopped laughing when your lips met hers and you pulled her in for a slow, loving kiss.

She melted into it right away, finding her fingers instinctively tangle in your hair and her other hand fall onto the small of your back. She gently pushed your hoodie up and ran her nails along your skin, making it tingle.

She pulled away soon, biting her lip as she looked at you.

"You stole my hoodie again?"

You nodded your head, welcoming the kiss on your lips that followed.

"You're so cute, y/n." She whispered against your lips. "I love you. I'm sorry you had a bad day but it's all behind you now, okay? I've got you." She whispered, caressing your cheek lovingly. "Tomorrow is a new day. I hope it's so much better than today, you deserve it so much. But, until then, let's have a movie marathon and cuddle, okay?"

You didn't have to be told twice. You laid your head on her chest and tangled your legs with hers. She put one arm around you first, then the other when the intro to your favorite film started.

"I love you. Thanks for making me feel better."

"I love you more, y/n." She whispered in your ear, kissing your cheek before you both turned to watch the film as you cuddled up to each other tightly.
