Lisa gently laid you down on her bed as your lips moved passionately against hers.

You could feel your heart beginning to beat a little faster as her hands began to roam across your body but, at first, you liked it.

Her touch was loving and comforting, as were the sweet kisses she was giving you as she changed them from passionate to soft.

"You're so beautiful, baby," She lovingly whispered as she pulled away from your lips and began to kiss your neck.

The sweet words as well as the feeling of her lips on your skin caused your heart to flutter and you closed your eyes as a blissful rush came over you.

You love Lisa, you truly do.

You've been together for a few months now and you're head over heels in love with each other.

But you have yet to physically express that love for each other in the way a lot of couples do.

You wondered if tonight might be the night that changes.

At first, you felt as though you might be ready.

Lisa always makes you feel so adored and you know that if you take that step, you'd never feel as loved as you would in those moments.

"Lili," You moaned, loving the way that she made you feel as her lips brushed against a certain spot on your neck.

Her hands wandered to your sweats and she started to untie them, so desperate to just get them off of you completely.

But your heart started to pound and not in the way you thought it should in moments like these.

You didn't feel excitement as she began to pull your sweats down your legs, you felt anxiety and so much of it that it almost threw you into an attack.

"No, wait, Lisa, stop."

As soon as the first word left your lips, she pulled away completely.

It was the first word of protest and she wasn't going to keep going when hearing that.

She pulled her hands away and her lips, too.

She stared at you in worry for a moment as you sat up and tried to slow down your racing heart.

"What's the matter, sweet girl?"

"I can't do it." You said with a heavy breath. "I'm not ready."

"Shh, that's okay." She said as she put her hand on your arm. "That's alright, baby."

For a moment, she just comforted you.

She didn't say a word, she just brushed her hand across your shoulder soothingly.

Until you spoke up.

"You're ready though, aren't you?"

"I am." She confirmed and watched you hang your head. "No, honey, don't do that. Look at me."

You lifted your head and stared into her soft brown eyes.

"Baby, just because I'm ready  doesn't mean we have to do something. If you're not ready to take that next step, then you're not ready, and we won't do anything."

"You're sure?"

"Of course I'm sure." She said as she reached out to caress your cheek. "I'm not going to push you into anything, especially if you're not ready for whatever that may be. I love you and one day, when you're ready, I'll show that to you. But, for now, we can just make out. I'm not in any hurry and I don't want you to be either."

You felt much more at ease thanks to her sweet and reassuring words.

You scooted closer to her and put your hands on her shoulders before she pulled you onto her lap.

"I love you so much. Thank you for being so understanding."

"Hey, you're my girl, I'll always be understanding, no matter what."

You kissed her lips softly before pulling back and laying your cheek on her shoulder.

"I'll be ready soon, I promise."

"Don't rush, darling. We've got a whole lifetime ahead of us. There's no need to hurry when I'm going to be all yours and you're going to be all mine forever."
