you break a bone

"You got it? You're sure you've got it? Take it easy and slow. I'm right behind you." Lisa said and kept her hand on the small of your back as she helped you inside and watched you use your crutches carefully.

It's been a bit of a long day so far. You landed yourself in the hospital after you broke your leg.

You came down the stairs a little too fast, but it was just because you were excited to go out to breakfast with your girlfriend after her schedule being so hectic. But you ended up tripping and you both knew from the crunching sound from your leg that you'd broken it.

"Think you'll be okay on the sofa for a bit? Or do you wanna try to make it to spare room down the hall?"

You quickly but carefully made your way to the sofa before sitting down. Lisa put your crutches against the table and placed the blanket over the back of the couch over your lap.

"I think I wanna crash here for now, but with you."

She nodded and sat beside you. You moved your head to her shoulder and let out a sad sigh. "Sorry for ruining our breakfast plans."

"Y/N," she laughed and started to comb her fingers through your hair. "You broke your leg. Trust me, breakfast was the least of my worries, and still is. I just want you to relax and take it easy. I'm gonna take care of you until you're all healed up."

"But your schedule-"

She placed her index finger over your lips when you lifted your head and tried to argue with her.

"Although I wish this wouldn't have happened in the first place, if it had to happen I'm happy it's now because I've got a break and I get to take care of you. You're not doing anything on your own for a bit. I'm gonna wait on you hand and foot."

You wanted to argue with her but you both knew you couldn't, because you kinda liked the idea of her being there with you to take good care of you.

"What can I get you? Are you thirsty? Do you need some pillows or another blanket? Is your phone charged? Do you need,"

You interrupted her rambling by laying a kiss to her soft lips, which she loved. You could tell from the soft little sigh that fell from her perfect lips.

"I'm okay for right now. All I need is your arms around me and a cozy movie playing."

"Happily, my love." She whispered softly and handed you the remote to look through all the movies till you found one that interested you.

You turned it on and then put your head back down on her shoulder. You even moved part of the blanket over her lap so she'd be cozy, too.

"I love you." She said and put her arm around you. "You scared me. That sound wasn't pretty." She chuckled sadly. "Seeing you in so much pain broke my heart. You know I'm gonna take good care of you. Right? I'll do anything for you, especially now."

You looked up at her to find a look of worry on her face. You took her hand and gave it a squeeze.

"I know. You're just amazing like that. I'm lucky to have you. Sorry for scaring you but I know that I'll be feeling much better soon because I have you to take care of me."

She kissed you softly and laid a couple of pecks against your lips afterward before she gently pushed your head back on her shoulder.

"I'm gonna start following you down the stairs when you're all healed up instead of going in front of you. Can't afford you breaking anything else."

You laughed and she found herself doing the same before she started to play with your hair while you watched the movie.

The next few weeks sure wouldn't be easy but with Lisa taking care of you, you knew it'd all be okay in the end.
