Soap fluttered his heavy eyes to view the flooded cobblestone below him. He had fallen on his chest, distraught and aching from the entry point on his upper bicep from one of Graves' men. Everything happened so fast, he didn't even know how Ghost got away without a scratch.
Or so he hoped.
Faint gunfire could be heard throughout the streets of Las Almas. Someone had been getting killed and by what it sounded like, it was a citizen of the city. The more Soap's senses came to him, he soon realized that the person behind the gun was one of an American accent.
Graves had sent his Shadows to commit war crimes by killing residents that had no clue of the 141 or the status of Hassan. The bastard just wants a reason to kill, Soap thought, sitting up against a nearby wall, glancing at his shoulder to see the blood had begun to cauterize.
"I'll check the back." He heard a Shadow say a few yards away.
"Keep a heads-up for the Brits." Another Shadow warned.
"Roger that."
Soap breathed heavily as he changed stations on his comm, passing by the Shadows' conversations about needing reinforcements.
Silence.
