"Why did she send us to get this stuff while she gets the food?" Baler asked in confusion as he pushed the cart behind Simon, the pair taking a right turn down an aisle that housed the laundry detergents.

"She didn't send us, I offered."

"Why?"

"If there's one thing you need to know about a woman is that you always offer to get the simplest of things because if you don't, she'll spend a good half hour in the same aisle smelling every detergent or candle before she finds the one she likes. I'm trying to save us some time here and be out of this bloody place as soon as I can." Simon explained, huffing as he exhaled through his nostrils, knowing that it was equally and playfully miserable and adorable that she would find so much amusement in finding that perfect candle that satisfied her sense of comfort.

"I figured she'd take forever getting the groceries." Baler chuckled.

"Just give it time. The cart is still empty," Simon scoffed. "When she gets done changing diapers in the bathroom, she's going to be hunting us down to get her shopping done, but I'll be damned if that means we'll be in here for another two hours."

"Well, do you have the list?"

"No."

"Oh. I was gonna say I could go ahead and start getting the food while she's in the bathroom."

"I wish I knew what she was getting, because we would've been in route back home."

"I think I would rather be working..." Baler sighed.

Simon shook his head, putting the jug of fabric softener in the cart, the mixture of different smells of various detergents throughout the aisle giving him a headache before grasping the front of the cart and slightly tugging it towards him, indicating to Baler that he needed to start pushing the cart. "Can I ask a question?"

"Sure."

"Do you play video games?"

"Never had a desire to." Simon shrugged.

"Then why is there an Xbox in the living room?"

"When Kiera was pregnant and I was deployed, she couldn't sleep as good as she needed to and ended up being obsessed with some wild west game," Simon explained, shrugging. "I've toyed with it once or twice."

"C-Can I play it?..."

"You'll have to ask Kiera that. I don't want you consuming yourself with video games twenty-four seven."

"I-I won't. Just on days I'm not working and am bored around the house."

Simon huffed, "We'll see. You just have to ask her."
