Again, this is probably another sloppy chapter, and I'm sorry that it's not as long as the others as I feel like almost 2k words are too short per chapter for me... I'm slowly getting back into my "groove," but I'm not quite there yet. I love writing, and I feel like if I can keep posting little "blurb" chapters to get the juices flowing, then so be it I guess. I'm posting this quite early because I've been wanting to change my routine a bit by playing a video game for the first time in a few months - to do something different to break the routine that I've been doing since August..
Please bear with me - I'm trying, but I hope it's good enough for my readers as I know some of you read as soon as I publish a new chapter, and I hate feeling like I've let anyone down.

Simon's Point of View:
This week had been pure bliss. I had the pleasure of watching my bratty teenage son absolutely hate his life as he had taken over Kiera's chores at home that involved the twins. If they cried, you can best believe that I didn't let her lift a finger to tend to them. I was the first one up and I made Baler do everything when it came to changing, bathing, feeding, and tending to their every need. I did it to prove my point:
This is what can happen when you engage in sexual activities.
I didn't give a bloody hell if he was planning on "using protection" or not – it's always a risk, and he's far too young to be taking risks right now, especially when his girlfriend is handicapped.
He bitched and whined all week, and I could tell that he was starting to grow bags under his eyes from the added task on top of his usual routine: go to school, do chores, and blend in tending to the children in the midst of that because they can't just "wait" until after he was done – he had to squeeze them in to make it work.
And I'm due to give him credit. He might have whined and complained the entire time, but not once did he not at least try.
After this week, I was starting to see that he was getting his act together. He was more respectful towards Kiera, not once disrespecting or back-talking her when she asked him to do something, not once gave me a hateful retort when I would ask him to do something, and not once did he ask for his phone or other belongings back.
That's right, not only did we take away his phone privileges, but I also took away his Xbox and those stupid nude magazines that he had no business looking at in the first place.
I did the right thing and gave them back to Johnny, having the pleasure of watching Teeter curse him up and down for even having them while they were together. Hell, it was funny.
Besides, he'd do the same to me.
Actually, I still owe him for that little stunt he pulled back when we went to the military ball – bringing up my former sex life right in front of Kiera, thinking that it was going to get us in a fight in front of him.
My first week back on shift was anything other than busy. I usually worked ten hours a day, but ended up working over twelve. Monday was nothing but traffic stops, Tuesday was nothing but DUI's and ignorant teenagers trying to drive in the snow, Wednesday was nothing but paperwork, Thursday was spent in a hot pursuit of a suspect who killed his brother, followed by a physical fight once we apprehended him, and Friday was four hours of being present in court because of the bastard.
And no, I didn't get in trouble. I just had to be there because it was me and five other officers involved.
As much as I wanted to spend my Friday night nestled between my wife's legs, I was in pure bliss when she straddled my back on our bed, massaging my sore muscles after a hard week of work. I didn't even complain when she used that pointless sugar scrub on me. Fuck, it felt good, and I didn't mind smelling like a coconut if that meant I could feel her soft hands against my back.
