"Is it alright if I ask Kiera to go with us?" Soap asked Simon, a hopeful gleam in his eye as he was finally ready to pop the question to Teeter, wanting to propose in front of his only family as well as his best friend.

"I'm sure she doesn't want to babysit a third child." Simon scoffed.

"She won't be having to babysit me, L.T.," He shrugged. "Price and Alejandro offered to watch them with her parents-"

"Not a chance." He huffed.

"C'mon, L.T. You know they'll be in good hands. Besides, she might want a break from having to watch the kids just like you might want a break."

"If she wants a break, then I'll watch them."

"Do you just not trust anybody with your children?"

"No."

"It's not like they're strangers, L.T. You know them. Price is dying to spend time with them, and he offered to watch them while we were gone to town."

"Remember what I said about being careful who you trust?"

"Yeah?"

"My point exactly."

"Do you not trust her parents?" Soap arched his brow. "Price knew he might have a chance to spend time with the babies if they were with her parents to make it comfortable for you."

He sighed, "I do trust her parents with our kids-"

"But not Price?"

"I didn't say that. It just makes me nervous."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Just spill the beans, L.T. There's a reason why you're so nervous for someone else watching your kids that you trust."

"It's stupid."

"No, it's not."

He sighed, "It's because I'm afraid of my kids growing up to resent me and prefer someone else."

"That won't happen, L.T., but you'd want them to have good figures in their lives?"

"I know," He shrugged. "I do, but it's like I'm afraid to lose something I've always wanted to someone else. It's stupid."

"You have every right to be protective of them, but you could try to loosen up a bit."

"It's hard to."

"I know, but you know that they're in safe hands. It's not like they're strangers. Kiera trusts them with her life and so do you. I doubt they'll like Price better than their uncle Johnny."

"Fucking hell," He grumbled. "I'll go talk to her. If she goes with us, please don't say anything about her ring and the price. She doesn't need to know how much I spent on it."
