Chapter 40:Tomura Shigaraki

Toga continued to walk as she neared her home, she had a smile on her face.

'Finally...I got closure.' Toga looked up in the sky.

'See mom...I did it.' Tears flowed down her face.

She felt a buzz in her pocket and pulled out her phone to see an incoming call. She picked it up.

"Hey..." Toga quietly said.

"Did you talk to him?" Shigaraki said from the other side of the line.

"Yeah" Toga didn't elaborate.

"Well, what did he say." Tomura asked the girl.

"I didn't do what you said Tenko." She hears a growl from the other side of the phone.

"HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO NOT CALL ME THAT!" He screams through the phone before hanging up.

Toga looks at her phone and sighs. She starts to walk home again.

'When will you get help...' An idea popped into her mind and she turned back toward Izuku's house.

Tomura layed in bed with an annoyed expression on his face.

'Bitch can't keep her mouth shut...' He angrily thought to himself while closing his eyes.

A knock on his door made his eyes shoot open.

"Yes?" He called before the door bursts open.

There a tall man with black hair stood, a huge grin on his face.

"Get up." The man orders Tomura who immediately obliged.

"Yes sir!" He stood up and looked at the man as he walked up to him. He cowered a bit as the man towered over him.

The man put his hand on Tomura's face.

"You didn't do what I asked, did you." The man's smile disappears.

"I-I'm sorry!" Tomura closed his eyes bracing to be hit

"Stupid." The man replied while pushing Tomura's head into his wall before turning around and walking out.

Tears brimmed in Tomura's eyes as he held his head. He felt blood trickle down the side of it and the tears started flowing.

He grit his teeth.

'Bastard...'

Tomura grew up in a relatively normal home, he had a loving mother and father, along with an older sister.

Before Tomura entered high school his sister had graduated, she moved out of the home as soon as she could to escape their now abusive father. The man was normal until Tomura showed interest in becoming a police officer. This set the man off as his mother Nana Shimura had been a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. Tomura's father started drinking, which led to him hurting his children and wife. After a while though, he didn't even need the alcohol to do so.

Tomura wanted nothing to do with the Shimura name because of his fathers actions. Instead renaming himself, it wasn't official as he didn't even bother asking either of his parents whether he could change his name or not. But he now went by Tomura Shigaraki

Tomura stood up and walked over to his door, locking it. He sat at the door as tears ran down his face. He wanted so bad to take action against his father but the man was stronger than him. He was only 15 and on the skinner side, so standing up to his father who was taller and more muscular was just asking to get beat up again.

He felt weak, so in school he preyed on the weak, he had become a bully who would hurt people for his own ego. He had a few friends, most of them were people who could beat him up, but a few he considered real friends.

One of them was Toga. They met at the entrance exams of Shiketsu but didn't become friends until around early October. She had found out about her father's actions and begged the boy to run away.

He couldn't, he couldn't leave his mother alone with the man. His sister attempted to take Tomura out of the home but her father threaten to call the cops and say she kidnapped him.

He felt trapped, he needed to wait until he graduated to get out.

That's what he thought.

Toga insisted different. She always supported him when he needed her, she promised to stay by his side, she didn't want him to give up the Shimura name as he could be the change the world needed and become a cop like he had dreamed of.

Over time he became more cold to her, he tried to pretend he didn't care for the girl. He couldn't help it though, she was the only person who he felt he could talk to and not be judged. He was wrong but he didn't know that.

He knew she wanted the best for him and understood why she wanted him to stay with the Shimura name but he just couldn't. Not with the position he was in.

Tomura wipes tears off of his face and texted Toga.

*can we talk...* He messaged the girl who immediately called.

He declined it.

*through text please* he messaged with the little bubbles of her typing immediately showing up.

*what's wrong?*

*he's mad at me again, cuz I didn't take out the fucking trash* Tomura wiped his nose on his sleeve and sent the message.

*im sorry Tomura, do you wanna meet up? Maybe get food or something?* Toga messaged him, he immediately chuckled.

*yeah sure, thank you Himiko* he messaged before putting his phone in his pocket and standing up.

He ripped his shirt off and changed into a new outfit before walking into his bathroom and wiping tears from his face while looking in the mirror.

He lightly smacked his face twice before turning around and walking out of the room.

"Where do you think you're going Tenko?" Tomura's father asked the boy who froze.

"Going to hang out with my friends..." Tomura closed his eyes and squeezed them shut expecting his father to hit him but nothing came.

"Be back by 7." The man said before walking down the hall.

Tomura turned around and saw his mom who waved at him with her innocent smile. The woman had felt guilty but was too scared to stand up to the man.

Tomura nodded. "I love you mom." He said before turning back and walking outside.

*meet me at shiketsu.* Shigaraki texted Toga.

*already on my way :)* Toga messaged back making Tomura smile as he walked down the street toward the school.
