Kota laid on his bed once again, it was the day after the snowball fight and he was still tired from it. It also didn't help that he went to the gym twice that day. Usually he'd only go once, but as usual he was stressed out over the offer from Katsuma.
He pulled out his phone and went to Izuku's contact.
He didn't talk to the boy much outside of school or football but he knew how izuku had gone through a lot of tough decisions. So he decided to text him.
*hey Midoriya, can we talk?* Kota messaged and before he could even leave the message izuku read it.
A few seconds went by and Izuku called him. Kota was a bit surprised but picked up the phone anyways.
"What's up?" Kota asked as he put his phone to his ear.
"I should be the one asking you that." Izuku laughed from the other side of the phone.
Kota stifled out a chuckle.
"Yeah true, anyways, I just wanted your advice." Kota said as he sat up in bed.
"About what? You alright man?" Izuku asked slightly concerned.
"I'm fine, you know that offer the Shiketsu kid gave me right?" Kota asks izuku who hums a yes.
"Well I really don't know if I wanna go..." Kota mumbled as he turned toward his bedroom window.
"Kota." Izuku paused and Kota replied. "Yeah?" The boy replied.
"You don't have to lie to yourself. We both know you wanna go." Izuku told the boy who frowned.
"I know...but, I don't wanna leave Eri man...I really love her." Kota says as he stands up and walks to the window he was previously looking at from his bed.
"Dude, I can say from experience, no matter how long you are separated from Eri. The minute you guys reunite it'll be like time never passed. I mean hell, I didn't see her for like 10 years minimum and yet me and her are really close again like time never passed." Izuku told the boy who slowly nodded.
"I mean yeah, but you guys are family." Kota says as he continues to overthink.
"And you guys are lovers dude. She literally told me she'd do long distance with you. It's not like you won't talk anymore." Izuku chuckles to himself and Kota slowly smiles.
"I guess you're right...I'll just miss her you know? It's different being in person than over the phone." Kota says to the boy and he laughs.
"That's true, but it's better than nothing you know what I mean? Plus, it's not like you won't visit one another." Izuku tells the boy who sighs and nods.
"I have until the 29th to tell him." Kota says and Izuku chuckles.
"Tell him how that you'll go. Eri will be fine as long as you don't cheat on her." Izuku tells the boy who scoffs.
"You know I'd never cheat on her." Kota says and izuku chuckles.
"I don't know man, some of those girls in America could sway you. You ever seen Jennifer Lawrence?" Izuku laughs before Kota hears a small slap from izuku's side of the phone.
"I was joking!" Izuku says out loud while he continues to laugh.
"Are you with somebody?" Kota asks confused at the boy seemingly conversations with himself.
"Yeah I'm with Ochako, since it's her birthday we're hanging out." Izuku replied as he slowly stopped laughing.
"Oh shit, tell her I said happy birthday!" Kota laughed as his own forgetfulness.
"He says happy birthday." Kota hears the boy say while a little farther from the phone.
"Thank you!" Ochako raises her voice so that Kota can hear her.
He laughs a bit. "Well, I think I know what I'm gonna do. Thanks Midoriya I really appreciate it." Kota thanks the boy who laughs.
"No problem man, yo, when is your flight? Me and Ochako are going to fly out of Tokyo to LAX on the 31st." Izuku tells the boy whose eyes widen.
"No way, same dude." Kota chuckles as he looks back to his door.
"What time?!" Izuku asks the boy who opens his phone and goes into his text messages.
"10:30 in the morning." Izuku answered and Kota laughed.
"Dude we're on the same flight." Kota told the boy whose eyes widened.
"That's crazy bro. At least we can hang out a little extra in the airport." Izuku tells the boy.
Kota nods. "Yeah man, that'll be great. Also why are you going to LAX?" He asks izuku who laughs.
"Guess I forgot to tell you, Ochako and I's parents got us a one week cruise in Miami. Gotta stop at LAX though since there's not a one way flight to Miami from here." Izuku chuckles.
"A week long cruise?! Damn bro you're lucky as hell." Kota says.
"Hell yeah bro, I'll miss a week of school but who cares, Miami gonna be really warm and I need that right now." Izuku told Kota who laughed.
"I mean it's still winter, so it'll be chilly still." Kota tells the boy who slightly chuckles.
"Aye man, it'll be like 10 (50f) degrees out in the middle of the night so we'll be fine during the day." Izuku told the boy who nodded.
"Better than here." Kota said and izuku laughed again.
"Damn right." Izuku said before Kota could hear a small knock from the other side of the phone.
"Alright man I gotta dip, just remember to do whatever you wanna do with Eri before you go alright? And not what you just thought of if you do that I'll kill you." Izuku told Kota who laughed.
"Got it, thanks man I appreciate it." Kota said still smiling at the end of Izuku's statement.
He had no plans of going anywhere past a kiss with Eri, he felt as if she would detest him for even thinking about anything further while they were this young. Not that he could help thinking about it though,he was in the middle stages of puberty.
"Got you bro, I'll see you around." Izuku said before hanging up.
Kota put his hand down and smiled before looking at the phone and going to Katsuma's messages he started typing and hesitated for a split second before thinking of izuku's words again. He then pressed send.
