"Hey Izuku." Toga greeted over the phone as she neared U.A.
"Toga did Tenko find you?" Izuku asks enthusiastically.
Toga lets out a small chuckle but she doesn't smile. "Yeah...he did." She says before hanging up.
She was so confused about how she wanted to feel and her actions represented that perfectly.
Toga walked back into the building a few minutes before Tenko. She walked to her class and walked through the door.
"Himiko Toga is it?" The teacher Aizawa asked the girl.
She sighed and nodded while pretending to be out of breath. "Sorry I just transferred here today and had no clue where to go..." She lied through her teeth.
Aizawa sighed. "Sit down." He told the girl who obliged.
"How'd it go man?" Izuku asked Tenko as the two walked down the hallway.
They were both skipping class.
"I don't know...it's really hard to talk about..." Tenko doesn't look at izuku.
"I couldn't imagine..." Izuku frowned as the two rounded a corner.
"It's nice to see you again by the way...even though our friendship only last like a day before you disappeared." Izuku laughed a bit while scratching his face. Tenko smiled at the comment. "Good to see you too Midoriya."
Izuku chuckled. "Call me Izuku, we're friends again so I think it fits." Izuku puts out a fist and Tenko bumps it with a grin.
The two fall into a short silence but Izuku suddenly remembers something.
"Oh shit! I gotta go to class I can't miss any or else I won't be allowed to go to football practice!" Izuku stopped in his tracks and looked at Tenko who chuckled.
"Guess you better get going then." He laughed.
"Yeah! See ya' later bro!" Izuku turned to walk away but Tenko stopped him.
"Give me your phone." Tenko said and izuku raised an eyebrow but did it anyways.
Tenko quickly typed something in and have the phone back.
"There's my new number, my old phone broke the day after I got your number." The boy laughed and izuku joined him in doing so before waving and running toward his class.
'Shit...I hope I'm not too late...' Izuku burst through the door of his class and everyone looked at him. Including his girlfriend Ochako who he had no clue was in this class.
"Izuku Midoriya, you're late...half way through the class late. So where were you?" Izuku looked at the clock and sure enough he was way later than he thought.
"I uh...lost track of time when I was at lunch?" Izuku told the teacher but it sounded like more a question.
Ochako couldn't help but smirk while trying not to laugh.
The teacher just sighed. "Go sit down, I'll mark you tardy instead of absent since it's the first day."
Izuku smiles. "Thank you!" He tells the teacher before running over and sitting down next to Ochako who had saved a seat for him.
The teacher resumed giving out information on the course and Ochako leaned over toward Izuku's seat.
"Got lucky this time huh?" She teased the boy who almost laughed out loud. "Yeah, I completely forgot I needed to go to classes to be allowed to practice in football." Izuku told the girl making her lightly giggle.
The rest of the classes went by quickly and Izuku made his way to the football field.
"Coach!" Izuku walks up to Yagi and smiles at the man. "Ahh! There he is! How you doin' buddy?" Yagi greets the boy with a hand out.
Izuku shakes his hand. "Doin' great coach! What about yourself?" Izuku asked as he let go of his hand.
Yagi laughed. "Same old shit." He told the boy as he started walking toward the sidelines where the rest of the students were. Izuku quickly followed.
"Sup Deku." Bakugo said being the first one to notice Izuku's presence.
"Yo." The boy replied as the whole team greeted him except one.
The boy smirked at him. "Izuku Midoriya right?" The boy asked.
Izuku looked at him. "Yeah, who the hell are you?" He shot back with an equally as smug grin.
"Kota Izumi." The boy stood up and walked over to Izuku, offering his hand.
"I'm also the kid who's gonna replace you." His grin returned and Izuku scoffed while grabbing his hand.
"You can try." Izuku shook his hand and the rest of the team just looked at the two.
"Main character syndrome~" Bakugo sang out loud causing a small chuckle to start between the boys as Yagi started to speak.
"Alright guys, you've obviously met Izumi here so, let's get started and run some routes." Yagi told the boys who all nodded.
"Yes coach!" They all answered as they got into their positions.
"Midoriya give Izumi this round" Yagi stopped the boy before he put his helmet on.
Izuku was surprised but slowly nodded.
"Hike!" Bakugo yelled as they started the play.
Kota ran past Iida completely out speeding him. Izuku watched from the sidelines in awe, he couldn't even out speed Iida.
Bakugo threw the ball to the boy and Iida couldn't keep up, Kota got the free catch and ran backwards into the end zone with a huge grin on his face.
Arrogance was written all over him. The way he carried himself, his attitude, even the way he talked.
"Damn, you're fast as hell boy!" Bakugo told Kota who scoffed. "Hell yeah I am!" He replied as he threw the ball back to Bakugo.
Izuku felt himself tense up as a feeling of doubt overtook him.
Where he was at now, Kota could definitely take his spot as starting receiver.
'Guess I've got a lot of work to do.' He thought to himself Kota ran back to the 50 yard line to set up another play.
"I guess you do have some competition eh?" Yagi laughed as he teased Izuku.
Izuku didn't reply which took Yagi by surprise.
A small smile appeared on Izuku's face and Yagi sighed. He didn't want a rivalry's on his team.
'Don't tell me you're really gonna do this...'
