Chapter 63: No Distractions

"What's so urgent that it couldn't wait until after classes? Man if we're marked absent we can't go to practice today!" Izuku told Bakugo as they both walked behind the school.

"Do you know someone named Camie Utsushimi?" Bakugo asked, ignoring Izuku's complaints.

"Nah, who is it?" Izuku asks confused.

Bakugo sighs.

"It's this chick from Shiketsu! She said she's met you before." Bakugo says to izuku.

He had no idea who Bakugo was talking about.

"Describe her." Izuku told the boy.

"Blonde hair, brown eyes, a fuckin rack, she's curvy and has a big butt looks like she'd be a class hottie type. Said she was a third year." Bakugo said and izuku smirked.

"Really got a good look at her huh?" He says and Bakugo grits his teeth.

"Nows not the time! I need to know why she knows you." Bakugo tells the boy who sighs.

"Sorry man I don't know..." Izuku put his hand on his chin while thinking back to his first year.

Bakugo cussed under his breath and turned away. "Whatever dude, let me know if you figure it out." He said as he walked toward the front of the school.

"Hold on wait! I think I might actually remember!" Izuku says and Bakugo immediately turns around.

"Who the hell is she then?" Bakugo asked the boy.

"If I remember correctly you said Camie right?" Izuku asks the boy who nods.

"She's the one who told me to watch my back that one time! You know, which then made me spiral down for like a week." Izuku chuckled as he remembered the honestly bad memory.

"That was her?!" Bakugo walked toward the boy.

"What the fuck man...that means she's tight with Inasa right?" Bakugo asks Izuku who shrugs.

"I don't know who does Inasa's bidding bro, I haven't seen the dude since last year's football game where he literally snapped my arm." Izuku laughed at Bakugo who rolled his eyes.

"She freaked me the fuck out bro...she's odd." Bakugo says and izuku raises a brow.

"You thought she was hot didn't you." Izuku reads Bakugo like an open book.

"Yeah she's Fuckin' hot! But she also talked to me like I was a little kid, like she was better than me!" Bakugo said, izuku almost bursts out laughing.

"So she treated you like you treat everyone else?" He could barely contain his laughter and Bakugo stared at him with a death glare.

"Dude she flipped her hair in my face! I took that shit as disrespect!" Bakugo threw his hands in the air.

Izuku chuckled. "But you also thought it was hot." He insisted and Bakugo just rolled his eyes. The faintest of blushes appearing on his face.

"Fuck yeah I did..." Bakugo mumbled as he turned away from the boy.

"She even called me cute before she left." A small grin appeared on his face.

"Dude how the fuck? You've been so adamant about not catching feelings for a girl and the minute one of you doesn't treat you like a greek god you're like a teenage girl catching feelings for the first time." Izuku laughs while clowning on Bakugo.

"Also she's a third year bro!" Bakugo turns back to Izuku with a huge smile. "She's probably older than me!"

Izuku hadn't seen Bakugo so caught up over a girl, it was the first time he'd ever been this way.

"You like older girls?" Izuku asked the boy who nodded. "Deku I don't know what it is but I need me a COUGAR!" He yells the last part while clapping his hands.

Izuku just stared at him.

Bakugo noticed this and turned back. "Oh come on tell me you wouldn't love an older girl to spoil you!" Bakugo said to the boy who just blinks.

"My girlfriend is younger than me by a few months. That doesn't mean I'm into younger girls because I'm 16 and that just sounds incredibly gross. But it also doesn't mean I'm into older girls either man. You've got your own taste I'll tell you that." Izuku chuckled as he explained to the boy.

"Fair enough...I also don't like younger girls. That's why no one in our grade suffices, remember I'm 17 so like...the whole grade is younger than me." Bakugo chuckles.

He was acting completely out of character and even Izuku caught onto this. "Ok cool you have a thing for this girl, doesn't mean it'll fuck up your game right?" Izuku asks Bakugo who shakes his head no.

"No way! I'd never let that shit happen!" Bakugo told the boy returning to his normal hothead attitude.

Izuku grinned and nodded. "Good." He said before walking away from Bakugo and toward the front of the building.

"See you at lunch Bakugo." Izuku chuckled to himself as he left the boy alone.

Of course Bakugo wasn't in love with Camie, they hadn't even become friends after all. But Bakugo was sure as hell interested in her.

Izuku walked to his class, he was only 5 minutes late so he'd be fine.

Bakugo ended up being 10 minutes late, his teacher didn't care though.

Tenko and Toga on the other hand, they skipped class completely. Opting to display way too much PDA in Tenko's car he got over the summer. Since he had a part time job he was able to afford a ragged old car for a couple hundred bucks.

They had done the same the night before, only ending when Inko showed up to the school to bring Toga to dinner with her and Izuku's aunt and uncle along with Eri.

Deep down Toga was ashamed of herself, but so was Tenko. Sure he got to be with her sexually but it didn't feel like there was any love in the actions they were taking. Only desperation.

Speaking of Eri, her and Kota sat in their first class. They had almost identical schedules which made Kota incredibly happy. What didn't, was that he struggled with school. Eri on the other hand, school came easy to her. She was dense as a rock when it came to romance but if you were to ask her what the quadratic formula was she'd have it down in seconds. Being naturally good at school must've ran in the Midoriya families veins.

"Hey Kota!" Eri whisper yelled to the boy who was sitting in front of her.

Eri felt her phone buzz in her pocket and she quickly took it out while making sure the teacher wasn't looking.

*what?* Kota had messaged her.

She smiled at her phone.

*where are we going on Saturday?* Eri asked over texts.

Kota immediately saw it.

*we can go wherever. You can come to the gym with me again if you want* Kota posed the idea and Eri grinned at her phone.

*sure! Gotta get those gains!* Eri messaged back with a winking emoji.

Kota blushed at his phone but smiled.

Every now and then Eri would join him at the gym. She usually only went for fun though. Watching Kota become stronger made her happy because she knew he was getting closer and closer to his goal.

Eri knew about Kota's dreams and she completely supported him. One thing she wished though, is that she would figure out what she wanted to do when she got older. It's not like it was uncommon for someone not to know their passion at such a young age hell, even izuku and Ochako had no clue what they were gonna do once they graduated. But Eri really wanted to figure out her passion.

She wanted to go to America with Kota and find out what to do from there. Kota didn't know this of course, but she was incredibly inspired by the boy. She didn't know why but the thought of him leaving Japan and leaving her, made her heart feel funny.

At this point in time it was a silly dream, they were only first years after all. But someday that dream would either be put to the test, or put to rest.

Only time could tell.
