Chapter 71: Strike One.

"Eri are you awake?"

Eri's eyes shot open and she looked up to see her mother at the side of her bed with a smile.

"It's time for school. You gotta get up." Her mother smiled at her and she yawned.

"Where's Kota?" Eri asked as she rubbed her eyes.

"He left once you fell asleep." The girls mother giggled and grabbed a little note that Kota had left for the girl.

She handed it to Eri. "He told me to give this to you when you woke up." She said to the girl.

Eri took the small note and read it.

'I'll be waiting for you outside at 7. Don't leave me hanging.' Eri read before picking up her phone and looking at the time.

"Ah I'm gonna be late!" Eri said as she jumped up and ran to her dresser.

Eri's mother giggled and walked out of the room.

Eri looked through all of her clothes and couldn't figure out what to wear. Her door slowly opened.

"Hey Eri..."

Eri turned around surprised as Kota stood in the door yawning.

"Kota?! What are you doing here!" Eri jumped up a bit throwing the clothes she had in her hands in the air.

Kota laughed a bit and Eri's mother showed up behind him. "He was waiting outside at like 6:15.ended up falling asleep on the stairs." Eri's mother laughed and Kota blushed.

"Why did you come here so early?" Eri asked the boy who shrugged.

"I don't know...I woke up early and decided to..." Kota replied as Eri's mom walked away.

"Well, I need to get dressed really quick okay? I'll be out in a minute." Eri said and Kota blushed and nodded before going to close the door.

"Wait!" Eri called out to the boy. He peaked through the door. "Yeah?" He asked her.

Eri held up an outfit to her body. It was a pair of yellow sweats, a purple shirt and a yellow jacket. "This one."

Eri threw the outfit onto the bed and grabbed another. It was black leggings and a red top. With a black vest.

"Or this one?" She asks putting the outfit in front of her.

"I like both of them...it's up to you..." Kota replied and Eri looks at him slightly annoyed.

"Which one is cuter?" Eri asks the boy looking for a more clear answer.

"Uhm...the second one..." Kota answered honestly.

Eri smiled and giggled. "Ok! I'll be right out!" She said as she neared the door and closed it.

Kota turned away and walked to the front door. After a few minutes Eri walked out of her room. Kota looked over and saw the girl in the outfit he chose for her. His eyes lit up.

"You look good." He said with a big smile on his face.

Eri giggled and ran up to him. "Thank you! You don't look so bad yourself." She smiled at the boy who blushed a bit.

"Alright, we better get going." Eri said as she walked to the front door and opened it.

"We're leaving! Bye Mom! Bye dad!" Eri called out before closing the door.

Eri stretched her arms up into the air and yawned.

"Still tired?" Kota asked before yawning himself.
