Izuku finished getting ready for school the following Monday and walked out of his house to be greeted by Ochako.
"Hey Izuku, how's your arm?" Ochako takes izukus bag from him and slings it over her shoulder.
"Probably the best it can be." Izuku laughed a bit while looking at his cast.
The football team had invited him out over the weekend but his mom wanted him to stay home and rest, he agreed with her and stayed home.
Ochako had come over on Saturday to help Izuku so that Inko could rest, Inko greatly appreciated this.
Izuku and Ochako made there way to school and we're soon surrounded by people who saw Izuku get hurt. It seemed like a shitty paparazzi with how many people were there.
"Hey can we get through we can't be late to class!" Ochako yelled at the small crowd but her request was met by no reaction.
People kept asking if Izuku was okay, and they kept asking if they could sign his cast.
Izuku was irritated by the attention but more irritated on how Ochako was completely ignored.
He grabbed her hand with his good arm and maneuvered his way through the crowd and into the school quickly going into a corner where they could've be seen:
The two stood in silence.
"Why the hell am I being crowded around like a celebrity..." Izuku peaked around the corner and saw the group disperse toward their classes as the first bell rang.
Ochako sighed.
"We're gonna be late." She face palmed.
"Nah don't worry about it the teachers don't care if I'm late they're used to it." Izuku said not looking at Ochako.
Ochako huffed.
"Well I don't skip class Izuku so they're not used to me being absent or late, let's go!" Ochako grabbed his shirt and dragged him to their first period class.
The first few classes went by quickly and soon Izuku and Ochako were in the lunch room sitting with kirishima ,Mina, shoto, and Momo.
"How are you feeling?" Shoto asks Izuku while opening his lunch bag.
"Meh, I've been better." Izuku jokes with shoto smiling in response.
"Dude it was so scary seeing you hurt like that!" Mina stood over the table getting close to Izuku and looking at the cast.
"Yeah so just imagine being the one getting hurt and how scary that is." Izuku laughed and shook his head.
Ochako rummaged through her bag before pulling out a sharpie.
"I'm signing it first." Ochako gently grabbed izukus cast and started signing her name with a little heart next to it.
Izuku smiled at her as she did it.
"Me next!" Mina sat on the other side of Izuku.
"Me after." Kirishima rose his hand while finishing a bite of his sandwich.
After a bit the whole table had signed his arm.
"Nice." Izuku stared at the cast.
Ochako smiled at him and kissed him on the cheek which made kirishima and shoto mock Izuku for his public display of affection.
It was hypocritical of them.
Izuku rolled his eyes with a smile and kept eating.
"Yo deku." Bakugo called out while walking up to their table.
"What's up?" Izuku replied turning to the boy.
"Someone wants to talk to you in person, he told me to have you meet him in the gym 5 minutes before lunch ends. That's now by the way." Bakugo put his hands in his pockets and turned away.
"Don't keep him waiting." He says before walking back to his table.
"That's, ominous..." Shoto smiles awkwardly.
"For real dude." Kirishima adds.
Izuku looks over to Ochako.
"What do you think?" He asks her.
"I think you should go, but I'm coming with you." Ochako crosses her arms.
No wasn't an answer for Izuku.
"Alright let's go." He says getting up and holding his hand out for Ochako.
Ochako takes it and he helps her up.
"Even with a broken arm you're still going out of your way to help her up huh?" Kirishima laughs while Mina pokes him.
"Maybe you should take it as something to take after." Shoto smirks while eating a chip.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Kirishima slaps a chip out of Shoto's hand and the banter continues.
Izuku and Ochako walk toward the gym.
"So we both know it's Shinso right?" Ochako looks at Izuku with an eyebrow raised.
Izuku chuckles.
"Yeah i know." He says before opening the gym doors.
Shinso is there stood in the middle of the gym.
"Ah, you brought Uraraka." Shinso looks at the girl.
"Yup I'm here." Ochako smiles.
"So what's up man." Izuku walks up to Shinso.
"Ah nothing really." Shinso rubs the back of his neck.
"I just really wanted to settle things in person you know?" Shinso adds while putting his hands in his pockets.
Izuku shakes his head.
"Dude, we both fucked up, that's all there really is to it." Izuku looks over to Ochako.
"I didn't like seeing Izuku break down though, so I'm a bit mad about that." Ochako blurts out.
"Yeah I didn't like seeing it either, and after finding out why I feel horrible about it. So seriously, I apologize." Shinso bows down.
Izuku just looks at Shinso before grabbing his shoulder and making them stand face to face.
"Like I said, we both fucked up, and we're both sorry, so let's put it behind us like you said in our texts. Let's just start over as friends."
Izuku puts out his hand.
Shinso stares at him and smiles.
They shake hands and Ochako jumps up and down.
"Yay we're all buddies now!" She says before walking over to Shinso and whispering into his ear.
"Don't do anything again please." She says before backing off and skipping out of the gym.
"She really loves you huh..." Shinso stares at Ochako as she leaves.
Izuku laugh's a bit.
"Yup, and I wouldn't have it any other way." He says before starting to follow Ochako.
"Come on let's go." Izuku waves Shinso to follow him.
