Scrolling through your phone, you managed to keep up with what Auli'i was doing at her event tonight. The two of you have been dating in private for about a year or so, but you didn't want to show up as her plus-one and be bombarded with questions. So, you hung out at her apartment with Rocco waiting for her to get home. Well, it also helped that she'd text you every now and then to tell you what she was doing or just to send you a selfie. Which were adorable, and definitely brought a smile to your face every time. Pretty soon, it wasn't long before she was due to be home. You'd already gotten a text from her telling you that she had left the event and was on the way home. You were just happy to see her again after what felt like forever— it was only a few hours, but still, you really wanted to cuddle with her today, cling onto her and not let go. Currently curled up on the couch watching Netflix with Rocco, your focus was then shifted onto the sound of keys on the other side of the front door. It opens, and she walks in, no longer in the dress she left the apartment in. Amalea was holding onto it. "Hi!" She greeted you the same time Auli'i did. "Hey!" You smiled at them, dashing up and jumping onto her, your legs bracketing her hips on either side. She presses a kiss to your lips, giggling, "Aw, hi."

"I'll put the dress back in your closet and get it cleaned in the morning?"

"Uh-huh." Auli'i nodded in confirmation, "Thank you~"

"Need anything else before I go?" She asks, placing a familiar bag on the dining room table then walking down the stairs to return the dress to Auli'i's closet area in her bedroom.

"We're good, Amalea. Thank you so much for coming with me tonight."

"Alright. No problem, have a good night you two." She says after coming back up.

"Good night." You and Auli'i responded, almost in unison.

"Good night. See y'all tomorrow." She waved goodbye and left. You were alone with Auli'i now, still happily in her arms as she looked right at you.

"What's with this, babe?" She asks, referring to your clinginess.

You hummed, grinning, "Just missed you. I want my cuddles."

She jokingly rolled her eyes and walked over to the couch to put you down, a chuckle falls from her lips. "I'm just gonna go wash my face, okay? Then I'll be right back."

You sulked, much like a child who was upset. That tickled her, she laughs heartily, "I'll just be two minutes, baby."

"Aw, I haven't been able to see you all afternoon." You whined, Rocco lays on your lap in the meantime.

"Selfies weren't enough to hold you over?" She teased. You didn't say anything. Auli'i scratched your scalp, smiling to herself as she turned around to go to the bathroom so she could wash up.

As promised, she was back by your side quickly, bearing that bag of food which she placed on the coffee table so the two of you could eat in front of the TV. "Wow." She says, her brows raised briefly, "You're really gonna sit on my lap while I eat? What'd I do for you to miss me so much?"

"Nothing." You sigh quietly, "I'm just feeling...clingy I guess."

Auli'i lets out an exhale in amusement, "Oh that's definitely okay. I'm not complaining, honey. I'm all yours."

You grinned, smooching her on the cheek and then she laughs. "Oh, I know you love me, babe. But we're not starting something we can't finish right now."

"Hey, that's not what I'm doing." You gasped, feigning offence.

"Kidding, kidding." She hugs you from behind a little tighter for a moment before letting go so she could get the takeout containers out of the bag and eat.

You didn't stay on her lap for long, wanting the both of you to be move around more comfortably. That didn't  stop you from sitting right next to her, legs pressed up against each other's.

"Should I be worried that you're coming down with something because you always tend to do this whenever you're sick or getting sick."

"No, I'm fine. Are you annoyed yet?" You joked, stifling a laugh.

"Annoyed? Oh never, honey." She nearly snorted, laughing, "I love when you do this. I get to hold you for hours, if not all day every time. You want clingy, I can be even clingier."

Dinner went by fast, chatting and watching TV while you ate. You then cleared the trash and took it out. She'd laid down on the couch while waiting for you, gesturing for you to get over to her. Happily, you obliged and laid onto her. "How was your evening at the event?" You asked while your fingertips aimlessly traced squiggles on her clothed chest.

"It was pretty amazing, the food was good too, and I got to see Reneé and Avantika again after having not seen them in a while." She tells you, "But nothing beats this. Peace and quiet, spending time with you. Even if we just sit together or lay down together in silence, it really, makes me happy and recharges my 'battery', ya know?"

"That's nice." You smiled to yourself, "I'm glad you had a good time tonight."

She strokes your hair and plants a kiss near the top of your head, "How 'bout you?"

"I didn't do much." You laughed, "Just hung around here watching TV with Rocco, dozed off for awhile and did some writing. Though I finally got the motivation to finish up a new chapter and posted it."

"Hey!" She gasped softly, "That's so good, baby."

"Can't believe you're okay with that."

"You're writing about fictional characters, my characters. It's an art, honey. I love that you're doing what makes you happy, being creative...I love how passionate you are about letting people discover more of my projects. It's page after page of hard work and research and analysation of multiple universes and you have managed to make your own within them. I love that you love me that much to do that much work." She rubs your back, smiling down at you, "I love that no one has a clue you're my girl."

You blushed at the thought, hiding your face in her chest.

"Could you imagine that one day though? What an entertaining day that would be to see it unfold, watch your followers go a little crazy." She chuckles.

"I don't think I'll ever say anything about it even if we do go public one day." You admit, "I'm scared of criticism, I don't want other people to judge me for doing what I do or think that I'm lying."

"That's totally understandable, honey. You don't have to say anything— that's up to you. I'm just saying that if you ever do, I don't mind it. I got your back. You've got nothing to be afraid of. They'll have to get through me first. And my team, but me first definitely."

You giggled quietly, mood lightening up again, "I love you."

You could hear the smile in her voice as she responds, "I love you more, honey. I love you so much."

Excuse the half-assed title— I couldn't think of one. Was listening to this song recently and it fit the vibe so I included it at the top. Hope you enjoyed <3
