Ojiro's Pov

Just like pretty much every night, everyone in the class gathered for dinner, surprisingly even Bakugo, but I think he just comes because he's way too proper to bring food to his room, instead of eating at the table.

It was something we always did, and it allowed us to get to know each other even better than we already did. It quite honestly made me become a close friend with Tokoyami. Not like I ever thought he was mean or anything, but I definitely thought that we wouldn't have shared interests, however, this turned out to not be true when I discovered that he really enjoyed watching the same type of shows as me, and after we talked for a bit about it at the dining table, we ended up setting up a sleepover were we watched a bunch of episodes we both enjoyed, and after that, we constantly talk about them in class, and even gather a few times a week to watch new episodes, with some of our other classmates joining in as well.

It was a very fun and heartwarming tradition we had been doing for a while now, but as good as it was, there was a problem with it, someone wasn't really joining in. From the beginning, we all knew how distant Y/N was overall. He didn't really engage in small talk during class, and he would mind his business during training, not joining much when we would all try to train together.

At first, I was hopeful that the whole dorm set up would help with that, as we would spend more time around each other, but even then, he was still distant, and on top of that, he seemed to be getting along with 1-B much better. To be fair, it was mostly due to his girlfriend, Kendo, who always seemed to be able to put him at ease and get him to be friendlier.

This all resulted in the fact that, whenever we invite him over for dinner, most of the time he rejected the invitation, most of the time because he already ate something with 1-B, or some other reason. For the first few days we were disheartened by it, but I think nowadays, everyone had pretty much accepted it.

It wasn't all that bad after all. My main concern was that he wouldn't make any friends and be pretty lonely overall, but it was enough to just look at him while he was with 1-B to see that that wasn't true, and so, I think everyone agreed to just let him do his thing.

I think some of us, including me, still felt like it was rude not to ask, so I just kept doing it, just in case. It wasn't like I was expecting anything either, as I had even been rejected a few times already, so when I asked him today, I was certain that he would say no.

He even had Eri, his daughter somehow, on his arms, and she was already falling asleep, so he would most likely take her up and not come back, as he usually did, but instead, he said. "Sure. Just let me get Eri to bed and I'll be down in a minute." And with that, he left for the elevator.

At first, I thought that he had rejected me, like always, but after thanking him, and starting to walk away, I asked. "Wait what?" But by that point, he had already reached the elevator, and the door had closed.

At that moment I realized what he had actually said, and to be honest, I didn't know what to do. It took me a little while, but finally, I decided to go back to the dinning room to tell everyone. As I walked in, I could see everyone preparing everything for Dinner. Yaoyorozu and Jiro were chatting while putting down the plates, Sato and Koda were putting the final details onto the dinner, and Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida were putting down the silverware.

Once inside, I said. "Umm, guys, something happened." The first few ones that heard me were both confused and concerned, so they asked the rest to stay silent while they listened to me, so that's when I continued with. "So, the thing is, I invited Y/N to dinner, and he said yes this time." And just hearing this left them all in disbelief.

They didn't initially believe what I said, as they even asked if I was sure, but after I told them that I was certain, they started to panic...Well, not really, but we were all definitely worried. Mostly, we wondered what made him change his mind this time, and the only thing we could figure out was that maybe he was trying to compare us to 1-B to see how friendly we were, and that scared some of us, as we thought that maybe he wouldn't stay for dinner with us again if we didn't give a good impression.
