Eclipse sighed softly as he leaned against the wall of the cave, "let us go dad!" BloodMoon whined and Eclipse said softly "sorry... I just... I don't trust you three enough" Moon snarled "free us" Eclipse forced himself to put them down and they began running around the cave. He watched nervously and he yelled "don't leave the cave!" Fate said "Eclipse, you know I can put a barrier up, right?" Eclipse asked surprise "you can?" "yeah! I did it for the storm, remember?" "oh, right" Eclipse said feeling silly now. 

Fate chuckled softly "I was already doing it for the kiddos" Eclipse watched Starshine join his sons in a tackle and Fate watched them carefully with her, Eclipse saw Lunar staring at him and he waved. He saw Lunar's surprise and Eclipse forced himself to walk over "hey" he said to Lunar and Lunar looked up at him. 

Lunar seemed calm and relaxed before, but now he was tense at his ex-brothers presence. "Hi" Lunar said, Eclipse noticed how his voice was suddenly emotionless. A massive change from the soft yet cheerful voice he had when he was with Luna, I caused that didn't I... he's too scared to show emotions around me. "How are you?" Eclipse asked, he watched Lunar struggle for an answer before he grunted "fine" Eclipse's rays drooped at his harsh and emotionless tone. 

"That's good" he said softly, he didn't want to push Lunar in any way. His soft tone seemed to make Lunar even more mad and suspicious though because Lunar snapped "okay, what are you planning?" Eclipse flinched and Lunar snarled "I know you wouldn't talk to me all soft, what.are.you.planning?" Eclipse cleared his throat and said "nothing... uhh, you want a hug" he was kicking himself when he saw Lunar's confused face. 

"I'm willing to give hugs" Eclipse said as he crouched in front of Lunar, Lunar glared "why?" "why?" Eclipse asked softly "because I want to give you a hug, but only if you want" Lunar glared at him in suspicious anger. "I'm not letting you get close enough to put a bomb in my head again" Lunar's voice was cold and Eclipse's rays stiffened, he totally forgot he did that. 

Oh god, I was a horrible person back then, how did I do that and be so unbothered to the point I forgot? He shuddered in disgust at his past self and his rays fell as he quickly felt his tears fill his eyes, I was an actual monster oh my god. Lunar glared at him silently and said coldly "nice try." Lunar hissed, "do you expect me to believe that you- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Lunar screamed at the top of his lungs as Eclipse gently wrapped his arms around Lunar and pulled him over. 

"Shh..." he said softly as Lunar struggled and panicked, he didn't even think when he did this, he was already kicking himself very hard. "Look" Eclipse showed Lunar his hands "no bomb chips," he opened his chest compartment "no bombs" Lunar was stiff and all the robots and other beings turned over to watch. Eclipse held him close and gently "Lunar... I'm sorry" he said softly and Lunar stiffened in shock "hu-huh what?!" he yelped as though he'd been slapped. 

"Lunar, I'm sorry" Eclipse held him close and rubbed his back gently. Lunar was in a stunned silence for a long moment before he asked in a choked voice "wh-what mind games are these?" "none, no mind games Lunar" Lunar looked so confused and it broke Eclipse's heart. He deserved better than me... he was so excited and full of energy. 

When he was in his original body, Moon's, he would run around and try to climb the play structures. I'd yell at him and he'd try to hug me... I messed him up so much... Eclipse's hands shook as he held Lunar close. He really didn't want to let go, he wanted to fix this but the damage was already done. 

Lunar said "no bomb...?" "no bomb..." Eclipse said softly as he rubbed Lunar's back, Lunar seemed stunned but just as he was starting to relax and give in he snapped out of it suddenly and shook his head, he snapped at Eclipse "yeah no, I can't believe I almost fell for that" Lunar punched him away harshly and turned and walked off to sit in a corner as always. 

Eclipse stood there silently as he felt a dull throbbing pain on his chest and he heard Computer say "that still went better than I expected" Solar whispered "yeah..." Eclipse shook his head and straightened himself up, he looked around before closing his eyes while taking a shaky deep breath. It's fine... he sat against a wall and sighed softly. 

He watched BloodMoon tackle Starshine gently and Starshine squealed in excitement and smacked at him. He could tell his kids were very attached to Starshine by their behavior, even Moon was gentle, he was gentle with only his brothers and sometimes me. 

He usually tried to bite holes through my metal though, I think that kid has a problem.

His attention went back to Lunar when he watched Luna sit down next to him and Eclipse's rays drooped again as he grabbed and held a rock gently. He tossed it up and down again and BloodMoon squeaked holding Starshine up "we have a hostage! Dad, please protect the hostage with you LIFE, we cannot let Moon get to her!" Starshine snuggled into him and Eclipse said softly "okay" he watched BloodMoon run off as he and Sun tackled Moon. 

"How you doin' kid?" he asked Starshine and Starshine looked up at him and said cheerfully "good!" Eclipse muttered "that's good" Lord Eclipse ran over and hid under his arm and Eclipse gently tucked him close. A lot of mental breakdowns happened when Lunar came about, they slowly calmed though to the extent that they weren't crying their face off constantly, Eclipse guessed having Lunar here was like exposure therapy for him. 

Lord Eclipse snuggled in looking tired and Eclipse held him gently and pet his rays feeling really bad for the guy, he can't imagine the stress this must be giving him. 

It must be awful.
