Lunar

Luna got up and was acting normal, but the previous events still bugged him. She seemed to have no memory at all of what happened, "you sure you're okay...?" he asked, he felt nervous if she was okay, which was new to him but he didn't think much of it. 

"Fine!" Luna said cheerfully as she gave him a rock to chew on which he took, "because you suddenly started acting bonkers before you passed out on me" Luna was silent for a moment before saying "nope don't remember that, also sorry" Lunar grunted "well, maybe you don't remember because you passed out?" Luna thought for a moment before shrugging "eh, whatever" "I don't see this as a whatever-" "aww, you care about me!" "no I don't" Lunar said and Luna said teasingly "liar, you're so worried!" she hugged him. 

Lunar looked at her nervously, before relaxing into the hug "fine... but if you start doing that again I am checking your head" Eclipse asked "can I help-?" "NO." Lunar snapped not trusting him near Luna at all, Eclipse could do anything to her and he wanted to avoid that. 

He couldn't have Eclipse hurting Luna, he didn't want Luna hurt at all actually. 

He watched Eclipse flinch away from he said softly "sorry..." Luna said sternly "Lunar, that wasn't very nice!" Lunar grunted not at all regretting anything, in his eyes he helped Luna by not letting Eclipse touch her, "whatever" Luna hugged him closer and said "plus, I'm sure that won't happen again!" "okay" Lunar muttered. 

Lunar began to chew on the rock with his sharp teeth and Fate seemed not at all happy about him snapping at Eclipse, "what?" Lunar asked and  Fate said coldly "what gives you the right to snap at Eclipse like that?" Lunar replied simply "because it's Eclipse, I don't want him near Luna, that's that."

Fate glared silently at her before turning away, Lunar watched the family comfort Eclipse as his rays drooped and Lunar faltered his chewing for a moment as he watched Eclipse's sadness, he shook his head and turned away from him and went back to chewing on the rock. Not falling for that again.

"Lunar, you wanna play a game with the rocks?" Luna asked softly and Lunar looked over confused "what?" "like... dolls, but with rocks!" Luna said and Lunar grunted "no, that's stupid-" "we can act out torture" "you have caught our interest" "our?" "my" Lunar corrected himself, 'I wanna act out a torture scene... with rocks I guess?' 'eh, it's the best we're going to get at this point' 'aw...' "okay mister Our, lets see, you act as that rock" she pointed at the rock he was currently chewing on.

Lunar watched Luna grab a rock and she said "I have no idea how we are going to do this-" "can we just beat your rock with our rock until it breaks or something?" Other asked in clear excitement and Lunar said "don't be stupid-" "shush!" "uhh..." Luna said looking at them and Lunar realized he didn't say that mentally like he wished. 

"Did you just talk to yourself?" Luna asked pointing at them and Lunar and Other said quickly "no"  "no Lunar, I'm pretty sure you did" Luna said crossing her arms and Lunar laughed nervously while kicking himself mentally "lets torture the rock-" "now your just changing the subject" Luna said "we won't play until you tell me" aw man come on- 'I wanted to destroy rocks!' "then we don't need to play" "Lunar, I need to ask you a very important question" Luna said softly. 

Lunar felt her put a hand on his shoulder, he tried to shrug it off because he was uncomfortable with this situation. "Do you hear voices?" Luna asked seriously, 'wait do you count as a voice?' 'no! I'm a real being, you know this! We checked our code and everything when things got confusing and we kept taking control randomly, remember?' 'oh right,' "no" Lunar said. 

"Then why do you call yourself we and us?" Luna asked and Lunar faltered at that, 'okay, how do we fix this?' 'SHE SUSPECTS US-' 'Lunar, don't panic' 'wait, why are you here in the first place?' '... good question actually, dunno, woke up when you did' 'funny that we both wanted to kill Monty' 'we are a silly duo' 'wait were getting off track, she's suspecting us remember?' 'oh right, what do we say-?' "hello?" Luna snapped her fingers in his face and Lunar shook his head and blinked "huh?" "you zoned off" Luna said, her voice was getting more suspicious. 

"Oh sorry-" "now you're apologizing, you never do that"  Luna said sitting there, Lunar stared at her starting to panic. "Do you hear voices?" Luna asked seriously "no" Lunar said and Luna said "you're lying, you're freakin' lying." "No I'm not-" Lunar said and Luna asked "what do they tell you to do?" "nothing-!" "answer me Lunar at this point."

'We're not getting around this are we...?' '... this is bad' "nothing to tell you" Lunar said "I don't hear voices" "you know I have my lie detector on, right?" "that works on robots...?" "yep" "uhh... well this is awkward" Luna gave him a disapproving look and Lunar really didn't like that look. 

"Tell me" Luna said, "come on" Lunar was silent as he sat there looking at the rock in his hand, 'should we...?' 'I don't think we can get around this Lunar' 'we got so far without people knowing' 'somehow considering our slip ups' 'yeah... should we uhh.. how?' 'I'm just going to say I'm here' 'no-' 'any other ideas?' 'no...' Luna waited patiently for him to answer.

Other cleared the body's throat awkwardly and said "hi" "hi? That's your response?" Luna asked confused and Other said "my name is Other, and uh... I guess- I'm Lunar's other?" Lunar stared dumbly at them for a long moment, it made Other and Lunar very very nervous. 

'What if she stops liking us-' 'I don't want that, I don't want that-' "so you're like Sun and Moon?" Luna asked and Lunar choked out "kinda?" Luna took a deep breath and asked "Other, is it possible for you to change your voice so I know when you're in control?" Other said nervously "yes..?" "that's good" Luna said hugging them again. 

Lunar felt the hug and he looked nervously at her "we... uh, share control" Lunar said nervously and Luna said "oh okay, I'm not judging you two, that's fine. I've dealt with plenty of double personality people in my time actually! Sun and Moon, some other guy from my dimension. Ya know, stuff like that!" Luna smiled at them "it's okay, as long as you two get along" "we do get along..." Other said softly. 

"That's good!" Lunar was relieved at how quickly she accepted them, "now how can you change your voice Other?" Luna asked and Other said in a slightly deeper voice, "hi..?" "that works!" Luna said, Lunar heard the praises that she was giving him, every single one. It filled a hole in his heart that Eclipse made by never praising or giving him good attention, he really liked praising.... I've gone soft haven't I... He wished for the first time in a long time that he had a good sibling, maybe one that acted like Luna?

He was silent as Luna and Other chatted and Luna said "I suspected something" she sighed softly "I'm glad you both have been getting plenty of rest hmm?" Lunar felt Luna pet his head softly and he relaxed and put the rock down, he never saw this day coming months ago. 

I've gone weak I swear, I let more and more emotions peek to her but why? Why do I feel like I can trust her...? What if I'm being stupid, what if this is all a trick. Lunar stiffened and Luna said softly "relax, it's okay you two" he relaxed again just like that... I think I can trust her.

Lunar eyes began to feel heavy and he grunted forcing them to stay open, I do think I trust her... "you wanna play the rock game or do you wanna nap?" Lunar thought for a long moment before snuggling into her "we want a nap..." "okay!" Luna said "we can play later, okay?" "okay" the fact I was disappointed that I couldn't play that stupid game with her before. 

My mental age is catching up with me and I hate it, I hate it so much... but also... what's the point of anything anymore? He's lost his work... almost all the Lunar's he ruled over with an iron grip are dead. Probably wiped out of existence entirely, what's the point of acting tough anymore? 

He just let Luna rub his head gently, she accepted us... no one ever really just... accepted us. Or just me when I was alone... I can't bear that idea anymore, my head would seem so empty and quiet now without Other. No one in Lunar's life really accepted him, which is why he'd go to manipulative lengths to get at least a tiny bit of respect to build off of into worship.

Everyone Lunar's really tried to get close to hurt him, only Eclipse, he didn't try to get close to Nsheios. Luna needed no manipulation though, she looked at him and began treating him like a person instead of some object, which Lunar subconsciously held onto as hard as he could before he was even aware he was getting attached. 

Especially when he got sick... he remembered that. 

Luna is safety... she keeps me safe.

"Sleep well Twinkle Short..." Luna said softly "sleep well..." Lunar and Other drifted asleep in her arms, were safe with her here.
