144 - Only Seconds of Painful Sentience and Fear

Nsheios was having a awful day, he now knew that this was a dream, but he was also mad at Miku for dragging him into this strange shit. She was acting weird too, more robotic, and while she is a animatronic, she is normally less... Out of it. She normally rambles in and on about sticks and the weird stick rock war weird shit she talks about.

Having her be silent and just .. walking, was scary almost. He grunted and followed her as she silently walked through the woods, she was acting normal at first but now something was wrong. Something felt uncanny, and while Miku always felt uncanny, this was a different type of uncanny.

Lula seemed to feel it too because she was hiding under his wing as much as she could, Nsheios's wing twitched nervously before he caught himself and straightened his back "where are we going?" He asked Miku and she turned towards him with a blank stare "the fairies" he's not following her anymore, he wasn't sure if this was a dream or if he was being tricked. 

He glared suspiciously before deciding to test something, he stopped following her and looked down at his hands, they were normal. A red flag. His hands were normal, no warping or extra fingers, just normal. He narrowed his eyes at "Miku" and asked "stick rock war? What happened? I'm curious" he said this in a cold voice and he knew for sure that something else was going on when Miku didn't jump up at the offer in excitement. 

Instead, they looked confused and he growled "that's my sign to leave" "what- but I am Miku!" They yelped to try and stop him from turning around. He didn't know what entities were out here in this dimension, he should have been more careful.

He's normally good at that but he just immediately assumed that it was Miku being weird and stuff, now he knew that something was trying to trick him. "I am Miku" they said in a freaked out voice and he backed away, it was unnerving how real that sounded, how freaked out they were. Either Miku was having a manic episode or something, wouldn't be surprised at all, or he needed to get away. 

"No your not" he growled to them as he wondered why they were so desperate, "I don't believe that your Miku" he crossed his arms and "Miku" stared in panic before staring at her hands before up at him. 

"Miku would have rambled for hours about the stick and stone war, it's concerning but that's Miku-" "thi-this is a prank, right Nsheios..?" "No." He hissed "get away from me please" the Miku copier seemed genuinely confused and scared as they stumbled back and looked around. 

"I-  I have to get you to the boss's uhh... Lab!" what are they on about? Nsheios was irritated and he backed away as they approached him, "stop" he growled "I'm leaving-" suddenly, the faker started to glitch out in front of him. Nsheios's wings fluffed up in a rare feeling of fear, much less expressing it as they screamed and glitched in and out of the floor.

Nsheios backed away "holy shit-!" "Help!" They pleaded him, "help!" They tried to grab him and Nsheios sure as hell was not touching them. They spasmed and jerked about, colors were flashing before his eyes, reds, blues, greens, purples, so many colors and he felt like he was about to have a seizure as he stared in horror.

The fakers head smacked the floor with a harsh crack and Nsheios stared as both his and Lula's hearts thumped and he backed away some more while breathing heavily before freezing up as they screamed and spasmed and warped more before disappearing like they never existed in the first place. 

Nsheios was breathing heavily and staring at where the mass originally was, nothing was left of it, it was like it never had been there. He knew it had been there though, he felt nauseous and light headed as he stared while struggling to breathe. 

His chest hurt and his heart was pounding in his chest and a ringing filled his ears, what the hell-? Why did they glitch out like that- wh-wh-wha-? Whatever the hell just happened, he felt like he shouldn't have witnessed it. He was genuinely horrified and shaken by what he just saw and heard and his feet felt rooted in place as he struggled to get his brain to get back to working and processing stuff. 

His hands shook and he finally managed to stumble away as the real Miku walked over with a bunch of sticks in her arms, "you just left me!" She complained to him "you just left me stick collecting, we were supposed to do it together" all he could hear was ringing in his ears. 

That was all he could hear, Lula's heart was making him feel sick, not that he didn't feel sick from what just happened. He felt like he was going to throw up, he's seen a lot of horrible shit and he's hurt a lot of people, but this happening to someone randomly was scary on it's own. 

The fact it happened to Miku made him feel sick for some reason, Miku noticed that she wasn't getting a snarky comment from him and looked up from her sticks and up at him. His eye twitched at he stared at the spot and Miku asked "are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost, like...your really the robot equivalent of pale right now" his feathers were stuck up and his hands shook all over.

"Hello?" Miku snapped her fingers in his  face and asked again "hello?" Nsheios snapped out of it and Miku stared in concern, "are you okay?" Nsheios took a deep breath, then another, and he said "I'm fine-" this is Miku, this one is Miku. He stared at the spot where the faker glitched and died, his heart still thumping hard in his chest and it wasn't slowing down as he stammered "I-I-I'm going back to the cave now, going to take a nap" he turned away from her and tried to walk away confidently, he only ended up stumbling a bit before he jumped up and flew away before Miku could ask him any questions. 

He didn't have any answers.
