The bullet train soon slowed to a halt at their stop. As she, Ochaco, and Tsuyu got off, Miyuki found herself fussing over her outfit slightly.Since it was a reunion with everybody from Class A she decided not to go for anything too out-there. From what she had in her closet, she chose for the occassion a simple green cardigan dress, a dark denim jacket, and a pair of ankle high, open-toed boots. It was soft to the touch, so even though the dress hugged her body it was almost like a second skin; she didn't feel restricted. Only she wished it would stop riding up her legs every few steps she took. It was starting to feel a little embarrassing, reaching to tug her lengthy skirt down every couple of minutes.
"Yuki-Chan, is everything alright?" Tsuyu asked, noticing the half-and-half girl lagging behind a little.
She nodded with a close-eyed smile, smoothing out the creases in her skirt before catching up with her and Ochaco. "Just a little wardrobe malfunction, is all. My skirt keeps sliding up every few steps I take and I'm not sure what to do with it." She pinched the hem and tugged it down.
"Let me give it a try," Ochaco said. She fished some bobby pins out of her purse and crouched in front of Miyuki. "Hopefully this'll hold it in place long enough - you just gotta hold it down right there and... Huh?"
Something glistened out of the corner of her eye. Ochaco craned her head, keeping a tight grip on the lower half of Miyuki's dress, but it quickly loosened and her hands flew up over her head upon spotting the golden diamond ring around her finger.
"Yuki-Chan, is that?! - A-A-Are you...!" She gasped, eyes growing as wide as the moon. "You and Bakugo-Kun are...?! I-Is that...!"
"What is it?" Tsuyu asked, and leaned down to inspect what had gotten her best friend so frazzled. Miyuki's face turned a dark pink as the green-haired girl also became shocked. "Yuki-Chan - no way, are you and Bakugo-Chan...?!"
"Y-Yeah, we are," Miyuki responded with a drop of sweat dribbling down the side of her head. "Surprise!"
Ochaco and Tsuyu grabbed a hold of both her arms and started bombarding her with all sorts of questions. But they were speaking so fast even Miyuki's ears, used to the sound of rushing wind whenever she ran, struggled to keep up with them. The most she made out was:
"Why didn't you tell us before?" Ochaco cried hysterically.
"I can't believe he actually did it," Tsuyu said. "Bakugo-Chan is usually quite shy, isn't he."
The two continued their assault of curiosity even as they made their way to the restaurant where the reunion was being held. Of course, they wanted to know everything leading up to the proposal and exactly how he proposed to her. They told her to leave not even the tiniest detail out.
"Shouldn't we wait until Yuki-Chan tells the other girls?" Tsuyu asked.
"Oh yeah, that's a good point." Ochaco scratched her cheek, wearing an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Yuki-Chan. My excitement got the better of me this time."
"Rightly so. You wouldn't believe how I reacted when it happened!" Miyuki laughed. A cool breeze blew by and she shivered, goose pimples rising across her skin. She hugged her arms and gazed up at the night sky with a lopsided smile. "Besides, Mina-Chan already knows. Still, I can tell a little bit of what I remember. So I was on my way home that night..."
A few nights ago - A few blocks down from Hikari & Shoto's 'Checkered Conditioning Hero Agency'...
Miyuki waded through the crowded sidewalk. Winter was in its final days and with spring still a couple of days away she wore a cozy sleeveless sweater, thermal leggings, and a sweeping trench coat. Nothing was out of the ordinary; fried foods and fresh perfumes filled the air, traffic steadily built up, and there was a gentle buzz all around from the cacophony of peoples' voices and the gentle hum of electricity from the surrounding infrastructure.
