28- modern married life I

hey so im gonna do this mini series called modern married life, which is hiccup and a new oc named blythe, made directly for this purpose. here's the backstory:

hiccup was with astrid, but astrid passed away in the fire that lost hiccup his leg. she and blythe were best friends, and blythe helped him through it. they fell in love, got married and had 2 children, bliss and koda. there will be 2 cameo's, my sisters oc twins laken and liana. laken is married to tuffnut and has a daughter names anastasia. liana is married to snotlout. they have a son named oreon. heather and fishlegs are engaged. no children. ruffnut is dating eret. no children. dagur is single. stoick and valka are married with a son: hiccup. laken and liana have no parents. blythe has a mother: dhalia. father unknown. everyone elses parents will be unspecified. that's all!"

CHAPTER I: SICKNESS

hiccup's p.o.v

as my alarm for 7:30 goes off, i'm instantly aware of the lack of heat next to me. i roll over and see that blythe is gone. i rub my face and turn my alarm off. i quickly sit up and grab my prosthetic, clipping it on. i make my way into the living room, wearing my sweatpants and no shirt. i rest against the doorframe as i see blythe laying on the couch, clutching a hot waterbottle. she's staring off into space.

"how long have you been down here?" i ask gently. her eyes move to me

"mmm... since 4? maybe" she shivers. as i see her face properly, im shocked to see she's pale, but here eyes and nose are red. she's sweating bullets but shivering. i walk over to her and crouck down, putting my hand on her forehead.

"thor, sweetheart. you're burning up." i sigh and remove my hand. her eyes tilt to the clock.

"shit, it's time to get the kids up" she stands up fast, but very quickly tilts and falls. i catch her.

"lay down, i'll get them. you need rest" she nods weakly and lays back down. she goes for the thick blanket but i stop her

"sweetheart you're too warm. i'll get you a thinner blanket" i reach over to the cabinet and pull out a thin blanket. i cover her with it and tuck her in.

"go to sleep babe. i'll be back in a few minutes" i kiss her forehead and walk into the kids room. they share a bedroom. i walk to the curtains and open them, recieving groans in return.

"time to get up guys" i chuckle. i get a chorus of noooo's. i chuckle again and pull their blankets off. the two 5 year olds pout at me. i just grin.

"okay guys. your momma is not very well at the moment, so i need you to be quiet this morning. i'm afraid you can't watch the tv" they nod.

"is she okay?" the quiet voice of bliss asks.

"she will be. do you remember when you got the flu a few weeks ago?" she nods

"it's like that. so be very nice okay?"

"we will daddy" koda says. i nod and hold out my arms. they hug me, and i kiss both their heads.

"okay, let's get you two dressed for school"

i quickly dress them both before we walk out. they instantly go to the couch, where blythe cracks an eye open and gives them a gentle smile

"mommy you look bad" bliss says.

"i know." she answers, stroking her face. koda runs off, and returns with a glass of cold water. he places it next to blythe along with a pan.

"you always give me these when i have a bad tummy, so now i'm giving them to you" he says proudly. her smile widens as she coughs.
