48- skater pt 2.

so i can't be bothered to write like 4000 words worth so i'll just give context.

hiccup and south got together that same day, and got married when they were 20. a year after their marriage, the skating rink went up for sale so they bought it. they are now 23 and have no kids. that's all!

hiccup is 23

lily's p.o.v (oooooh)

i feel the wind gliding my hair back as i skate around the rink. it's my first time here and i'm having fun. I hear some laughing and turn my head to see a man and a woman messing about. the woman takes off her jacket and throws it at him. he throws it back. they continue to laugh and mess about. I smile lightly and continue skating. after a few minutes, they skate off the rink and sit down. I skate for a little while longer, before going to sit down and stratch my feet. as i pass by a wall, my eye catches on a sign hat says "meet the staff". i look at it, and i'm shocked to see the same man and woman. it says they own this place! i gape a little before continuing to make my way to the chairs. there's another picture of the same man and woman with a sign next to it saying "if you have any questions, feel free to email us at -------------- (not writing an email oop) or simply approach us if you see us!" near the place i'm sat. i remove my skates before working up the courage to approach them. I stop next to their table and the man spots me. he gives me a warm smile

"hi! what can we do for you?" the woman looks at me and gives the same smile.

"hi um... you two own this place right?" they nod.

"is it okay if i ask ya'll a few questions?"

"of course!" the man shifts so he's sat next to the woman.

"what would you like to know?" her voice is soft, it reminds me of my own mother in a way.

"how long have you owned the rink?"

"about 2 years. we would come here together after school every Thursday for years, until we left school and continued to come through college and uni. we began working here at 18, then when we heard it was going up for sale, we couldn't let this place go so we bought it." i nod.

"that's amazing. you seem like very nice people. what are your names?"

"i'm hiccup, and this is south" i shake their hands. the man never loses his warm smile, while the woman just has this comforting aura around her.

"do you mind if I get to know you two a little? I don't have many friends, so it's always nice to make some new" i say. they grin and nod

"sure! we love making friends!" I smile.

"are any of you married to anyone?" the woman giggles a little

"uh, yeah" I give them a small smirk

"who's the lucky lass and lad, then?"

"each other. we got married when we were 20" south laughs.

"oh! i wonder how i didn't see that before. do you have any kids?" their faces fall slightly, before picing up again.

"no, but we're trying." the man shrugs. i give them an apologetic look

"i'm sorry. i'm sure it will work out for you. how did you meet?" south explains how they met at age 15 in this very rink.

"you're very lucky. not many relationships from that age last so long. you look very happy" I smile lightly. i can tell they're holding hands under the table.

"he's the lucky one, i'm awesome" south scoffs. hiccup rolls his eyes but grins

"yeah i am." he kisses her temple

"awe i'm gonna need a bucket, this is too sweet for me" i theatrically wave my hand, fanning my face. they laugh

"oh! i'm sorry! we didn't ask your name" I giggle

"my name is lily. lily harper" they nod.

"we have to go sort some things out. mind if I get your number, lily harper?" i nod and open my phone, going onto contacts and passing it to her.

"great! we'll talk to you soon!" they wave and skate off, going into some sort of staff room. I go back to skating. after about 30 minutes, i see hiccup emerge, holding a microphone.

"alright people! for all you lads who have brought your lady, or lad, no judging, we've got a nice slow song for ya! hope you can dance!" he says cheerfully. i couple people skate off the rink as the song 'make you feel my love' by Adele comes on.

hiccup's p.o.v

me and south go onto the rink, dancing as we skate around among the other couples.

"just like 7 years ago, hey love?" I smile. she grins at me

"as if. you wouldn't have been able to do this without falling on your ass"

"hey, I was trying to be sweet!" I playfully scowl as we continue to dance. the song ends, and superhero by sion Curtis begins to play. 2 men approach us, holding hands. we smile at them

"hey, we just wanted to thank you for not stereotyping and stuff. that was a cool thing to do" I grin at them

"your welcome! enjoy your date!" i smile at them. they skate off. suddenly i get an idea, smirking before quickly bending down and grabbing south, hauling her into my arms. she shrieks.

"hiccup! put me down!" she clings onto e. I skate with her until a staff member comes up to us.

"excuse me, you can't do that. either stop messing about or i'll have to ask you to leave" me and south look at each other.

"I apologize. it won't happen again" the staff member nods and skates away. me and south burst out laughing.

"did we just get told off by our own employee?" she laughs, though the staff member doesn't hear her

"I do believe we did, m'lady. you better behave yourself" i pinch her butt, making her squeal and slap my hand. i laugh at her

"how about you behave yourself? if you don't, you're gonna have a real boring night" she challenges. I purse my lips.

"fine." i mutter, kissing her cheek. i see lily talking to the member of staff and glancing at us, before the member of staff comes up to us, smiling sheepishly.

"sorry um... sir and ma'am. I didn't know you were the bosses" he blushes a little we chuckle

"oh it's fine. we should probably start adhering to our own rules" south laughs.

"yeah... sorry" he skates away and we laugh again

"oh, classic. lets go!" we skate off, holding hands.

mr sandman (bom bom bom bom bom bom) bring me a dream (bom bom bom bom) make him the cutest that i've ever seen (bom bom bom bom) give him to lips, like roses and clover, and tell him that his lonesome nights are over!
