Hey so we're coming up to chapter 200! Gods, that's scary

This is an alternate version of in dragons we trust, except -Yeah, you guessed it!- hiccup and south have a daughter. South and the daughter are hybrid. South isn't like, 7 foot in this. She's normal human height.

Hiccup is 16, south is 16, kari is 1 month old

Hiccup's p.o.v

I cradle the small hybrid child in my arms, looking at the ceiling of my room. Kari makes a snuffling noise and snuggles closer into my chest, making me smile. She's remarkably small, and at first I was worried she was too small and she wouldn't make t, until south assured me that hybrids were born small in order to fit into the egg, so she was actually a very healthy weight. Speaking of south, I'm pretty sure she's at the storehouse, getting some fish. Kari's wings shift as she wakes up, so I move into a sitting position and cradle her that way, her eyes lock into my face, and she smiles a gummy smile. I gently stroke her cheek, and as I expect, her rooting reflex kicks in and she turns to try and start sucking on something, Malik g me chuckle.
"Are you bullying her again?" I hear south say. I look up at her. She's leaning against the doorframe, eyebrows raised and a small sack in her hand.
"Of course not. Just... making sure her reflexes work" she giggles and takes kari out of my arms, making me pout. She laughs
"Don't give me that look. She needs feeding" I nod and take the sack
"Cooked or raw?"
"Hmm. Let's go raw today." I nod and set aside the fish for her before placing mine into a frying pan and cooking it after it's prepared. South sits on a stool, kari balanced on her knee as she feeds. I don't look while I eat, though south says that she doesn't mind. My father walks in the door. He's used to seeing south feeding kari, so he doesn't react.
"Hey south, Hey hiccup. Any spares?" He asks when he spots my fish. I bring out a salmon from the sack and place it next to mine in the frying pan.
"Thanks" he goes to his desk. South finishes feeding kari and places her down on some furs to sleep while she eats. We eat in silence, apart from my usual huffing breaths and kari's cute baby snores. Suddenly, Astrid bursts in through the door. Kari startles awake and begins to cry. I swiftly pick her up and face Astrid, who looks terrified
"Astrid, What is it?" I ask
"I just saw an outcast ship!" I tense. If the outcasts knew about south and kari..." I look to my wife and see she's having the same thoughts. I look at my dad
"Hiccup, go with south and kari to hide in the cove."
"Dad, we have no weapons! Let me go to dragon island. I can get toothless and the other dragons" I say sharply, still lightly bouncing kari to try and get her to go back to sleep.
"Okay." I nod.
"South, take kari and hide in the forest" I say urgently, swaddling our baby in furs and giving her to south.
"Hiccup-"
"You need to stay hidden. If Alvin found out about you and kari... gods knows what he'd do." I cup her waist in my hands. Astrid and my dad leave to give us some privacy. South let's out a sob and buries her head in my shoulder. I card my fingers through her hair.
"Stay out of sight. If Alvin finds the cove, take kari and fly. Fly far, far away and I'll come find you when it's safe, okay?"
"Okay... I love you, my mate, my hiccup" I smile lightly and brush my thumb across her cheek that is dotted with small black scales
"I love you too. Now go" I instruct, pulling back. She gives me a wordless nod and flies up the stairs and out the window, kari clutched to her chest. I run towards the docks, but have to retreat when I see the outcasts docking there. I'm forced under a house when outcasts block all exits. I exhale when I find they didn't see me. I hear someone chattering begins me, so I look, seeing fishlegs
"Ah! Fishlegs!" I yelp.
"A-Alvins looking for you. He's looking for the dragon conquerer" my heart falls
"Shit."
"What're you gonna do?"
"I can't leave berk. Alvin doesn't know who I am, so he'll never stop looking. I need to get south and kari off the island, before he finds them." Fishlegs nods and follows me out.
"How many hostages do you think a dragon conquerer is worth?" I hear a deep, gravelly voice say. It's Alvin.
"Seven! Oh, no, no, eight!" One of his men says.
"The men spotted a bunch going down to the beach, and some to the forest. One said they have eyes on a dragon hybrid and child!" My heart falls again. They've found south
"A hybrid? Oh, if I could tame her... she could be both my sexual slave and warrior!" I feel anger bubble up inside me
"What about the child?"
"Kill it." I bare my teeth in almost a growl.
"Hiccup..." fishlegs says. I face him
"I need to help them. I need to give myself up"
"Hiccup, no!"
"I have no choice! He wants to keep my wife as his slave, and he wants to kill my daughter!" I exclaim before taking off running towards the beach. I spy on Alvin for a while. Then, south is pushed out from the trees. One of the men is holding a wriggling sack that's screaming it's head off. Kari.
"Here's the hybrid" the man throws south at Albion's feet.
"My, my. What a pretty thing you are" Alvin taunts.
"Don't touch me" She snarls.
"Oh, you'll learn to submit in due time."
"Never!" She growls. Alvin just chuckles. I take a deep breath and reveal myself
"Leave her alone" I command in a harsh voice
"Hiccup! No!" South begins to struggle
"Release my wife and my daughter. I'll give you what you want, but they go free" I say, planting my feet. Alvin laughs
"Are you implying that you're the dragon conquerer? Stoicks little runt?" He laughs.
"Yes. Haven't you noticed that there aren't any dragons? I drove them all away!"
"And yet you married one?" He sneers. I flower
"She's more human than you. I'll say it one last time. Let them go, or you will be leaving here without your dragon conquerer"
"Fine" he steps away from south. She runs to the bag and takes kari out, cradling her with a sigh. Kari is crying, her tail thrashing and her ears flattened back as she wails. Souths tail is curled around her waist, her ears flattened back, too. I face Alvin.
"Take me to dragon island" he grabs me and forces me onto a boat. We sail for multiple hours, until the sun begins to rise and we arrive.

After the battle

"South! Kari!" I yell, seeing them on the docks.
"Hiccup!" South yells back. I scoop her up by her waist, twirling her around before pulling her into my chest
"Oh god, I was so scared" she sobs. I hold her tight, feeling kari grasp my overcoat. I take her out of souths arms and wrap her in it, as it always makes her fall asleep. As predicted, she falls straight to sleep. I ghost a kiss on her forehead
"I'm sorry" I whisper.
"What're you sorry for?" South sniffs, wiping her cheek.
"For worrying you, and running off to dragon island with Alvin. I couldn't let him hurt you. They were gonna kill kari, and he wanted to sleep you as a personal sex slave. I couldn't let that happen" I say, holding her waist in my free arm. She leans into my chest.
"I love you"
"I love you too"

That night

"Hey dad?" I ask, walking into his house.
"Hiccup? What's up?"
"Could you take kari for the night?" He frowns at me
"Why? After the day you've had, i'd've assumes that you'd want her with you"
"Yeah, that's true, but, me and south want some... alone time..." I say, blushing. My dad laughs
"Oh, don't be so embarrassed, son! It's not like I didn't know you guys were doing it. You have a daughter, and you're married. All you have to do is ask, and I'll happily take my little granddaughter hybrid for the night" I nod
"Okay. Thanks dad. If she cries, she probably doesn't want feeding. She only ever wants cuddles when she cries at night"
"Got it" I nod again and leave, heading back home. South is waiting, completely nude on our bed. I slowly lay her down, peppering kisses along her throat. She hums.

Years later...

"Owe, dad! You pinched!"
"Sorry" I chuckle, resuming the task of massaging oil into kari's wings, something she often asks me to do. Once it's complete, she kisses my cheek and jumps out of my bed and heads downstairs. I grin and shake my head, walking to onyx's room. He was born human, like me.
"Onyx! C'mon, it's midday" I chuckle, shaking the sleepy boy. He's ten years old, while kari is 14
"No... another hour..."
"If I give you another hour, your mother will kill me. So up with you" he groans and sits up
"Atta boy" I ruffle his hair and walk out. South is downstairs, making lunch.
"Is onyx up?"
"Yeah" she smiles, then grunts
"Gods, I cannot wait until these bloody twins are out" I chuckle. When we found out south was pregnant, it was a huge surprise. She's only two months, and Gothi says the twins are one of each species, which was an event bigger surprise. I peck her cheek, and allow her to finish what she was doing.
