"No, no, please!" I beg as the villagers of berk tie me to a boulder
"We must! The gods want a sacrifice, so a sacrifice they will get" my dad says, way too calm
"I'm your daughter, and your just gonna toss me to the bottom of the sea?" I cry out as they load me onto a cart. I twist and turn, trying to break my bindings, to no avail, of course. I'm put onto a boat as it floats out to sea. It's just me and my parents.
"Mom, dad! Why are you doing this?" I sob
"The gods want a sacrifice. Our crops are failing. It is the only way" my mom says soothingly, as if she was tending me after a fall.
"So you'll just kill me?"
"Your life is not worth more than that of the entire village, honey" my dad says.
"Yeah, But..."
"Goodbye, darling. Just remember that you are dying for the good of the village" the cart the boulder is tied to is hoisted up with a winch. I'm moved over the ocean, then suddenly, one side of the cart drops. I suck in a deep breath right before I hit the water. I sink further and further, the light fading as the boulder sinks further and further. The first few seconds aren't too bad, but then my body begins to crave air. My lungs burn, my head feels like it's gonna explode from the underwater pressure. I can't see the lift anymore. I begin to thrash, trying to escape the chains but I can't. Suddenly, I get a peaceful feeling of calm. I'm no longer afraid to die. I feel the bolder hit the bottom of the sea. It's dark down here. My head feels light.
"Oh, poor dear. What did they do to you?" I hear a voice. It's bubbly, and kind.
"Don't worry dear. It's alright. I'll protect you" I feel the ropes loosening. I succumb to the darkness and lose myself in the cold water

???? P.o.v

I watch the girl whom has been sent to me's body convulse and jerk. I coo lightly. The poor soul. I gently take her into my embrace, and the jerking stops. She's dead, at least for now, I take her back to my home, my cave. I find my friend, toothless. He was also sent down here, hundreds of thousands of years ago
"Another one? I thought they'd stopped doing this" toothless sighs
"Yeah, I know. I'm gonna bring her back. You didn't deserve it, and neither does she" I wipe my webbed finger over her throat, feeling the gills opening up. I run my hands over her legs, causing them to fuse and scales to coat them. Her tail is an exquisite blue and purple, the fins floaty, thin membranes.
There. She should awake soon" I say. Toothless nods and busies himself with something. The girls eyes begin to flutter.
"W-wha?" She looks around.
"Easy, my child. It's alright" I coo, swimming over to her. She takes me in with wide eyes
"I'm dead, aren't I?"
"No, darling. The stupid land humans have casted you as a sacrifice, so I have taken you in and made you one of my own. Just like I did with toothless" I gesture over to him. He gives the girl a warm smile
"What's going on? How am I alive?"
"I made you into my own species that I created in my likeness. Only two of this species exist. You and toothless. I look like you, but I am not like you. I am one of the gods of Asgard, but I was never acknowledged. The humans do not know of me"
"That's..."
"Rest, my child. Rest. You must be weary" I stroke her hair. She looks up at me with these big, grey, doe eyes.
"I'm so confused" she whimpers. I pull her against me, cradling her. She leans into my touch.
"My name is hikke, but I go by hiccup." (Hikke is hiccup in Norwegian)
"I was cast away from the gods because I wasn't useful or something. I didn't want to rule over worlds or people, so they sent me to live at the bottom of the ocean. A few hundred thousand years ago, toothless here was attached to a boulder and thrown into the sea. I saved him, and made him in my likeness. We became best friends. We thought humans had stopped doing that sort of thing, but apparently we were wrong. You will be safe here." She lets out a sob and buries her head in my shoulder. I soothe her.

"Come my child, look at yourself" he leads me to a mirror. I only notice now that I can see everything. I see myself in the mirror. It isn't distorted by the water. I'm... beautiful. My long brown hair floats around me. I am wearing nothing but my upper bindings, which are constricting me. Hiccup gently begins to unwrap them, sensing my discomfort. My breasts are then freed to the water that lovingly caresses every inch of my skin. Hiccup rubs my shoulders, making eye contact with me through the mirror
"Look how beautiful you are, my child. Have you ever heard of the legend of the siren?"
"Yes. The legend of the siren is the mermaid that calls sailers to their deaths with her song" I tell him. He smiles.
"That is right. You are a siren, my child. The most beautiful being the world has ever seen" this makes me smile. Being here with toothless and hiccup makes me happy. I don't know why. I keep looking at myself in the mirror, almost awestruck by myself. The tail is graceful, a light blue fading into a lavender at the end, the fins are almost transparent and a beautiful lilac colour. My skin is creamy and pale, all of my little scars I had are gone. Toothless swims up behind me and pretends to wolf whistle
"Damn, girl! You're hot" he calls. I giggle. Hiccup fondly rolls his eyes and tuts.
"I truly chose the worst person to save." Toothless laughs. I turn away from the mirror and watch the two friends.
"Oh yeah? Come kill me then, hicc" hiccup surges forward and rams into him. They wrestle in the water, and I laugh. They soon finish messing around. I take this time to get a good look at hiccup. His tail is a deep, woodsy green, fading into an even darker green at the tail. I see there are small chunks cut out of his tail. His lean torso is scattered with freckles which also cover his arms and face. He's beautiful. I look over at toothless. His skin is pale, but his tail is completely midnight black. However, one of his tail fins is missing, replaced with a bright red prosthetic, made with proper leather
"How did you make that?" I nod towards the tail
"I have the ability to turn into a human. My human form is rather unassuming, so nobody questioned me in their forge." I nod, accepting his answer.
"Anyway, you must sleep, my child. We will still be here when you wake" I nod, feeling sleep begin to overcome me. Hiccup holds me, his webbed fingers trailing down my arms as he sings me a lullaby
The sky is dark and
the hills are white
And the storm king speeds
from the north tonight
And this is the song
The storm king sings
As over the world his clock he flings
Sleep, sleep
Little one sleep
He rustles his wings and gruffly sings
Sleep, little one sleep
At the end of the lullaby, I skip into a dreamless sleep

2 years later

Being with hiccup and toothless these past few years has been amazing. I have a massive crush in hiccup, and he's a god so he obviously knows, but he's nice enough to not say anything about it.
"South?" He questions one day while preparing a fish.
"Hmm?"
"Have you ever considered getting... revenge for what they did to you?"
"How?" He smiles, letting go of the fish and swimming to me
"I hate humans. They are absolute scum, the  lot of them. The gods will probably hate me more for endorsing this, but I hardly care. Since you are a siren, you can entice the ones who wronged you, and you can drag them here. Let them suffocate in the darkness, just like they made you"
"What if they recognise me?"
"Even better" he smiles. I tilt my head back at him
"Do you not fear the judgement of the other gods?"
"I have lived in fear of their judgement since the world began. I hardly have the patience for their ways now. They can hate me all they like, but it will not change what I will do. I am not a rebel, nor a fallen one, but I simply do things my own way, and if terrorising the humans who killed my soulmate is against their wishes, then I should not stand their opinions" he says
"The humans killed your soulmate?" I ask him softly. He chuckles his light, bubbly chuckle
"Oh you silly girl. They tried, but I saved her. The rationale of that fact still alludes me, but the fact they tried makes me want my revenge"
"I don't understand"
"Oh my silly, silly girl. You are my soulmate. I know you love me, you hardly try to hide it. Freya spoke to me, and told me everything. Freya has always been a good sister to me"
"R-really?"
"Yes" he laughs, leaning forward and pressing his lips against mine. I gasp. I feel the power in his kiss, the power his body holds. It's strange, but the fact that he is kissing me makes me feel week. His hands slide down and cup my waist. I have remained completely bare since the day I was created, as I see no reason to bother with a shirt, so hiccup's hands are not hindered as they explore my body. The body he created. He eventually pulls away
"What do you say? Would you like to go terrorise some humans?" I nod.
"Sounds delightful" he chuckles
"Toothless!" He calls out. Toothless swims out of his room
"What's up?"
"Me and south are going to get our revenge on the humans. We'll be back soon"
"What if your captured?" He asks worriedly. Hiccup laughs
"You forget I'm the god of the sea, my friend. They cannot hurt me, and I will protect south"
"Gotcha." Hiccup leads me to the surface. I haven't seen the sun in two years, but I'm not blinded by it. The air against my skin is crisp, but I don't feel cold. I take in deep lungfuls of air
"I didn't know I could still breath this way"
"Yes. You kept your lungs, so you can still breath in air. Let's have a little fun" I nod. He begins to stir up the water. We mess with the humans for a while, sending floods and waves to bash their ships and flood their crops. I look at my soulmate and know that I am home.
