South is Dagurs sister from his mothers side (so they share a mother, not a father. She is not related to heather by blood. (I'm pretty sure heather and Dagur have different mothers, but I could be wrong. Just imagine that they do have different mothers). Let's just imagine that this is a very complicated family. South lives on berserker island

Hiccup and south are 18

Souths p.o.v

"Hey sis! I hear Dagur say from behind me. I turn around, smiling at the presence of the red haired chief
"Afternoon, chief" I grin.
"Guess who's coming for a visit?" He says excitedly
"Who?"
"The dragon riders! Oooh!" He almost squeals. I smile at his antics
"That's very exiting! I've been hoping to catch a glimpse of this hiccup haddock" I say. He grins
"I actually wanted to ask you something" I nod
"What is it, Dagur?"
"Can you greet them at the docks for me? Me and heather would, but we have some stuff to sort. You'll know it's them by the tall, skinny auburn guy in the night fury"
"Right. I'll do that for you, Dagur" he hugs me tight, and I guess him back. I am very fond of my half brother. I was the only person he was nice to back when he hated dragons. He used to rant about hiccup to me, and I would always listen, despite the fact I didn't agree.

The next day.

I wait by the docks for the riders. Sure as the sky is blue, I see some specks in the distance that get bigger, and soon enough the riders land. The Hurd walks up to them
"Name?" He asks
"Stand down. Dagur has personally sent me to collect this lot." They dismount their dragons as I walk past the guard. A tall boy with rugged auburn hair and bright green eyes dismounts a dragon as black as night.
"You must be the infamous hiccup" I smile.
"That would be me. Who are you? I've not seen you before" I hold out my hand
"I'm south. South berserk"
"As in..." he trails off. I smile lightly
"I'm dagurs other sister." Hiccup frowns
"Why did heather never mention this?"
"Follow me. I'll explain it all in due time" he nods. I take them up to dagurs house, where he and heather are.
"Brother!" Dagur yells delightedly. They meet us outside the house
"Hey Dagur!" Hiccup greets, shaking his hand.
"Oh! You met my sister!"
"I didn't even know you had another sister" He comments. Dagur laughs
"South always blends into the background!" I giggle. Dagur takes us all down to the hall for a meal. I sit next to hiccup.
"So, south." He begins, leaning in his elbow to face me. I look up at him, looking straight into a pair of sparkling green eyes.
"How come we've never seen you before?" I smile lightly
"As Dagur said, I tend to blend into the background a lot. I'm never at the front of things. I get that from my father."
"Oswald?"
"No. You see, the berserk family is a strange one. So, we have Oswald and Mary. Dagurs mother and father.  Oswald cheated on Mary and had heather. To get back at him, Mary cheated on Oswald and had me. So, me and heather are in fact, no way related by blood. Me and Dagur share a mother, while Dagur and heather share a father."
"I see. That is very complicated" he smiles at me. I smile back
"Brother, you aren't chatting up my sister, are you?" I hear Dagur comment.
"No, we were just talking" hiccup raises his eyebrow. I giggle.
"So, how did you train a night fury?" I ask. He begins to tell me about how he shot the night fury, named him toothless because if his retractable teeth, trained him and took down the red death. By the time he's finished, I notice everyone was listening.
"Wow. You are... you are very courageous, hiccup. I couldn't have done what you did. You, very literally, saved the entire archipelago from a three century long war" he smiles bashfully
"I did what I had to do to protect my people, and my best friend" he says. I gently curl my fingers around his and squeeze his hand. He smiles lightly at me
"Thank you." I squeeze his hand again and stand up.
"Well, it has been such an honour to meet and talk with you, but I have to head home. I don't know if I'll see you before you leave, but in case I don't, just know it's been amazing seeing you" I pat his shoulder before walking out of the house and back to my own.
