Souths p.o.v

"Celise!" I call from the kitchen. Said girl soon walks I
"What's up?"
"Could you run to the garage and grab me the cooking oil?"
"Sure thing" she kisses my cheek and skips out. I continue making food, but I begin to notice that she hasn't come back, and it's been twenty minutes.
"Hiccup?" I call out. He walks in from where he was helping oriel with homework
"What's up?"
"I asked celise to get me some oil, but she hasn't come back. I've got a bad feeling. Come with me to find her?" He nods and follows me. We walk into the garage, it's empty, save for the spilled bottle of oil and a blood trail, like someone was dragged out. I gasp
"Oh my god" I run out, following the trail of blood. It leads around the side of the house. We find celise, but there is a man on top of her, raping her still form.
"CELISE" I scream. Hiccup runs forward and boots the guy in the head, and he flies back.

Hiccup's p.o.v

I'm barely aware of south running to celise, as I begin to beat this guy who was raping my daughter. I drag him around to the front of the house and throw him into the garage, kicking him hard in the stomach. Oriel comes running out
"Dad, what the hell?"
"Go inside and call 911 while I finish this fucker" I spit at my son, kicking him again
"Dad, no, this isn't you"
"Go inside. Now"
"No!" He grabs my shirt And pulls me back. I look at him, and realise he's right. I take a deep breath.
"Go call 911."
"Dad, the blood" he gestured to it
"It's your sisters. Your mother is with her. Found this fucker raping her" I glare at the unconscious man on the floor. The more I look at him, the more familiar he looks, though I can't place it.
"Oh my god..." oriel runs inside. I grab some zip ties and tie this guy up, before going back. South is holding onto celise, sobbing. I feel my chest fall. Surely she isn't...
"We have to get her to a hospital. She's bleeding out" South cries, holding pressure on celise's stomach. Between her fingers is the handle of a kitchen knife. I hear sirens, but the world around my is blurred as I take over holding celise's stomach, trying to keep the blood in. The paramedics take over, and I stay home with oriel while south goes with celise to the hospital. I'm sat on the couch with my head in my hands when I feel oriel gently grab my wrist and move my arm before sitting down in my lap and moving my arm around him. I hold him tight in my arms and cry into his shoulder. I have never been close with my son like this, but right now I think he knows I need it
"It's gonna be okay, dad. If anyone can survive this, it's celise. She's strong" I shudder out a breath and hug him a little tighter
"I know..." he rests his head on my shoulder. I can feel his tears on my neck. I run my fingers through his hair. We sit like this for an hour. It's now 5pm. I sigh and gently move him off my lap
"Thank you, buddy. I really needed that" I cradle his cheek. He smiles at me, his green eyes mirroring my own.
"I get that. I'm not always a teenage boy. I can be sentimental. I'll start driving you crazy again after celise gets better" I choke out a laugh and kiss his forehead
"I'm sure you will. Give me a minute" he nods and grabs his phone from the table while I get mine from the kitchen and call his school
"Hello, this is hiccup haddock. My son, oriel haddock is unable to come in for the rest of the week"
"Why"
"His sister was attacked. I need him home"
"That is no excuse. He needs to be in school" I frown
"Well excuse me, my daughter is in hospital fighting for her life after being stabbed and raped. I do not want that to happen to my son. You will not be seeing him until next week, maybe longer" I swiftly hang up and take a wheeze of breath. My phone rings and I groan, thinking it's the school
"Hello?"
"Hiccup" I sigh in relief
"South. How is she?"
"She's in surgery. It's still touch and go, but they think she's going to be okay"
"That's good. Let me know" I walk back into the living room.
"Oriel. Your mom just called me. Celise is in surgery, but they think she'll be alright"
"Good." I smile a little at him
"Well, I'm keeping you off school for the rest of the week" then I remember something
"Oh shit, he's still tied up in the garage" I run out. The guy is awake and trying to get out of the zip ties.
"Stop moving. I will not hesitate to kill you" I say darkly. Oriel is still inside.
"Go ahead. Doesn't save your daughter, hiccup" he smirks. That voice... I know him
"Snotlout?"
"That's right" he laughs. I get an overwhelming feeling of anger, and I boot his head, knocking him out again. I call the police, and they come.
"So, What happened?"
"My wife sent my daughter out to get something from the garage. She didn't return so we went out. We followed the blood and found him raping her outside the house. I knocked him out and tied him up"
"Okay. We'll take him down. I'll let you know when the court hearing is arranged" I nod as he takes Snotlout away. South calls me again
"South?"
"She's awake. You can bring oriel if you want"
"Great. I'll be there soon. Love you"
"I love you too" I hang up
"Oriel! We're going to the hospital. Celise is awake" he smiles brightly
"Amazing!" He runs outside the house, not even wearing his shoes. I chuckle and grab them before following him out. He's already int he car. I drive to the hospital and south meets us outside. She leads us in. I soon see celise laying on her back, staring at the roof
"Oh baby. I'm so sorry" I stroke her hair. She smiles a little
"It's okay, dad. I'm okay"
"Gods... this is my fault" I choke out. She grasps my hand weakly
"Why do you say that?"
"He's... he's your second uncle, Snotlout Jorgensen. He came after you to get back at me for marrying your mother. He loves her, but she chose me. He wanted to make me pay" she sighs
"He's a monster."
"I know" I kiss her head. We spend some time with her before I have to take oriel home. That night. I lay in bed on my own, staring at the roof. I can't sleep. The door cracks open revealing oriel. I sit up, the blankets falling away from my bare shoulders
"Oriel? Are you okay?" He shakes his head. To my surprise, he clambers into my bed and presses against me.
"Oriel?" He shakes his head. I just lay down and hold my son in my arms. I know he's scared, and I know that I am too. He was always a mommas boy, so I never thought he'd want to seek comfort in me like this, but I am certainly not complaining. I feel his breathing slow. He fell asleep. I smile and gently kiss his head
"I love you, son. Im sorry for everything I ever did to you" I whisper to him
"No. You never did anything to me. You're the best dad I could've ever asked for" he whispers back. I smile and clutch him tighter.
"I love you too, dad. Thank you" I kiss the top of his messy blonde hair and he really does fall asleep this time. I soon fall asleep too, holding my son in my arms.
