Hiccup x oc oneshots

3- poor girl

hiccups p.o.v

"so-outh" i say in a sing-song voice. i hear giggling from a few paces in front of me but i dont see her. 

"hic-cup" i hear in a mock sing-song voice.

suddenly, i feel someone land on my back, and i gasp in suprise. the force knocks me over, and we end up with the person pinning me down, straddling my back

"i got you" my girlfriend whispers in my ear

"that you did, m'lady. you win this time" i huff and roll my eyes jokingly

"aww dont be jealous that im way sneakier than you"

"yeah well, that doesnt stop me from being stronger than you" i flip us over so now i'm straddling her, with her arms pinned above her head

"damn, you're good" she leans up and presses a gentle kiss against my lips. my guard falls, until she pushes me, causing me to land on my back. i let out an 'oof' sound as the wind gets knocked out of me

she quickly stands up and places her foot to my chest

"but i'm better" she winks before taking off into the trees. i laugh and stand up.

time skip

"hiccup? where were you and south all day?" astrid asks over dinner. me and south glance at each other. the others dont know we are together.

"eh, just stealth training in the woods" i shrug

"hmm. okay. how'd you do?"

"i totally beat him" south gloats and i laugh

"not on your life!" i mock back at her

"i gotta say hiccup. south is super sneaky."

"damn straight, she jumped me from a tree!" we all laugh as south reaches over the table and punches my arm

"now thats unkind" i pout at her. the dragons are laughing their strange laugh too.

"right guys, i think i'm gonna hit the hay" fishlegs yawns and stands up

"wait, what hay? wheres the hay?" tuffnut exclaims and looks around comically, ruffnut obviously following his example

"the only hay here, babe, is the hay your brain is made of" north, souths sister and tuffnuts girlfriend, rubs her knuckles over his head before knocking on it comically.

"hey!" he grabs her and pulls her against him, she laughs and throws her arms around him

"remind me how HE got a girlfriend before i did? and one as pretty as her?" snotlout asks me, and i shrug

"its beyond me, but i think they go well together"

"well, at least one twin is still available" he winks at south, she pulls a face

"who, me or ruffnut?" she laughs and so do we. 

"umm ew, obviously you, babe. come, see what a real man is like" snotlout kisses his biceps. groans of disgust sound all around the room, including me own.

"oh god, i think i was just sick in my mouth" astrid groans and bangs her head against the table

"right with you on that one" south copies astrid

"c'mon hiccup, last chance for a night flight" south stands up and holds out her hand to me. i grab it and stand up

"sure. see you guys in a bit!" we walk off.

"so. i gotta say, i think tuff and north go really well together" south says absent-mindedly 

"yeah they do. north is the only one who can keep him under control. what with us being together, astrid and snotlout hitting it off, heather and fishlegs being a thing, and them two, that just leaves poor ruffnut. she has no one. it must be awful for her" i look towards the clubhouse

"yeah. i try to include her to make her feel less lonely. have you noticed how she hasnt participated in many pranks and she walks around like a zombie?" south looks to the clubhouse too, where we can see ruffnut walk and sit on the edge, swinging her legs

"she's very unlike herself" i shake my head and look away

"i think i have an idea" she waves her hand and a terrible terror flies  . she pulls out paper and a charcoal pencil before writing a message.

"throk, ruffnut is terribly lonely and upset and i think you should come here. she does love you but couldnt leave her brother." 

she ties the paper to the terror and sends it off

"lets hope this works"

time skip

i get woken up by the horn that sounds when a boat pulls into the docks. 

"wha-?" i sit up and run out of my hut. i see a defenders of the wing boat. 

it worked!

i run down to the docks and greet throk as he gets off the boat

"throk! you got souths message!"

"i did indeed. where is she? i must comfort her" he says in his usual manner, south joins us

"aah throk! you got my message. i'll take you to ruffnut." south leads him up the pathway towards ruffnuts hut. about a month after the ceremonial exchange of betrothal gifts (north got him a bejewelled mace and he gave her macy) they asked for their own hut, which they got, leaving ruffnut to her and tuffnuts old hut. poor girl.

souths p.o.v

i quietly open the door to ruffnuts hut, and see her laying in her bed, asleep.

"ruff" i whisper, she stirs, muttering in her sleep

"ruff wake up. someone is here to see you" i whisper again, this time her eyes open

"oh. hi south. who wants to see me?" she asks

"hiccup?" i call out. hiccup walks in followed by throk

"ruff, you havent been yourself since tuffnut and north moved in together, so me and hiccup asked throk to come. hopefully he will be able to make you feel better" i squeeze her shoulder and walk to hiccup, she watches me.

"thanks guys. im not one for manners as such, but i do appreciate it" she smiles at us. hiccup places his hand against on my shoulder

"we'll leave you two alone" hiccup says as we leave.

"i think we did a good thing" i smile as me and hiccup sit on the cliff just in front of the stables. makeshift and toothless play behind us

"i didnt do anything, you did everything. i'm proud of you"hiccup smiles at me. i smile back and lean against him, taking in his pine and fresh grass smell. he leans back and kisses me, placing his hand against my cheek. he tastes like fruit.

"oh my thor" we hear from behind us. we pull apart quick and look to the sound. the entire gang (ruff and throk included) stand there, wide eyed

"shit, i never saw this coming, and i usually see everything!" tuffnut yells with his arms around north. me and south laugh before joining the others to go on a fun filled flight.
