(A/N): surprise! I was meant to take an extra day break and starts writing yesterday but I started writing again on the 20th, so here's a chapter early and a little something extra I'm about to finish and publish a little after publishing this chapter.
(At Cerise laboratory)
Goh: I'll take some mountain paths and probably cross some rivers.
Ash: hey Goh what are you looking at?
(Y/N): yeah what's up?
Goh: hey Ash and (Y/N) maybe you can help. I'm thinking of what Pokémon to bring along for an upcoming race, this is what I'm talking about. (Shows him)
Ash: the Pokemon catch adventure race.
Goh: it's a race where you take mountain paths and catch Pokémon while heading for the finish line
Ash: it sounds like it was totally made for you!
(Y/N): (happy scream) it's happening in Alola!
Goh: yeah I'll go back to Alola and catch tons of Pokémon, it'll be great! It's made to be run in teams, what do you say we go do it together... wait it says teams of 2.
(Y/N): it's alright I'll be rooting for ya and I can just find someone to team with, I'm not bothered.
Ash: sounds good. Ready to give it all we've got buddy?
(In Alola: Goh signs up for the contest)
Rotom phone: you have entered successfully.
Goh: (laughs)
Ash: this'll be great!
(We see two kids running over until they see Ash and stop)
Kids: excuse us! Aren't you Ash, the very first champion of the Alola league!
Ash: hm?
Green kid: never thought we'd meet around here
Red kid: would you mind if I shake your hand! (Shakes it)
Green kid: let's take a selfie!
(They pose and take a picture with a confused and taken off guard Ash)
Red kid: this is like the coolest thing ever!
Goh: so you're the Alola league champion?
(Y/N): you didn't know?
Ash: yeah I competed in that tournament a while back and I guess I kinda won.
Goh: HUUUUHHH!!! So why didn't you mention it earlier! That's amazing!
Ash: I guess it sorta slipped my mind.
Red kid: aren't you taking part in the race too.
Ash: yeah along with Goh.
Goh: it's nice to meet you.
Phil: nice to meet you too, I'm Phil. A member of the all out brothers team
Mayshure: I'm Mayshure and we're gonna beat the champion and show what the all out brothers are about.
Phil: why might you ask?
Mayshure: one simple reason!
Phil/Mayshure: we always go all out!
Phil: so let's give it all that we've got.
Mayshure: with that.
(They leave)
Ash: those guys sure have spirit.
