At the end of the long corridor of the university’s economic faculty building, two people were entangled with each other, busy kissing.

As they parted, Boun licked his lips still staring at Prem’s swollen red lips wanting to taste them again.

“Hia, stop it.” Prem covered Boun’s mouth looking around. “We are in public.”

Boun threw his head back and groaned. “I know. But I just missed you so much. I wish I could just take you home right now.” They were still hugging each other.

“Who asked you to agree to the whole dinner plan?” Prem scoffed.

“Your Mae was asking me so sweetly; I couldn’t be impolite and say no.” Boun shrugged.

“Ho, what a gentleman.”

“I thought you didn’t like it ‘gentle’” Boun smirked.

Prem smacked Boun’s chest playfully, blushing “What the hell are you saying?”
Prem had gone back to return the graduation gown to the juniors in charge of organizing the ceremony. Boun had followed him without anyone noticing him.

“Mae told me that you returned to Bangkok a week ago. Why didn’t you tell me about that?” Boun asked.

“There is no difference if I tell you or not. You are out of town anyway. By the time you came back, I would be long gone.” Prem said nonchalantly.

“You are going back? Again?”

Prem nodded. “I have nothing to do here. I might as well go back.”

Boun somehow felt offended. Prem had nothing to do here? What about him? Is he supposed to be satisfied via just a few minutes of video calls?

“Hia, let’s go. Phor-Mae must be waiting for us.” Prem dragged the sulking Boun to the parking lot.

As soon as Boun saw Prem’s parents, his face relaxed. He didn’t want to let them know that their son had ditched him.
The couple took the back seat. Boun drove while Prem sat in the passenger seat.

In the restaurant, the family had booked a private room. They allowed Boun to order food first. He placed his order according to Prem’s likes. This was not gone unnoticed by the couple, who decided to act as if they hadn’t seen or understood anything.

As the dishes arrived, Jassy got busy piling food on Boun’s plate. Luckily Boun was considerate enough to pick some food for Prem as well or else the little guy would have had to starve the whole night watching his mother’s biased treatment of Boun.

Halfway through the dinner Boun suddenly asked. “Phor, Mae, I want to ask you something.”

“Ask away, Luk.” Jassy smiled.

“Phor, Mae khrab… I… one of my friends recently opened a new resort in Phuket. We, a few friends were planning on going to Phuket for a week. If you guys don’t have a problem, can I bring Prem along with me on the trip?” Boun asked.
Prem choked on his food hearing Boun.

Jassy and Richard looked at each other before the former spoke. “Of Course, luk. He doesn’t have anything to do if he goes back home either.” Jassy eyed her son in fake disgust.

Prem pouted.

“Thank you, Phor, Mae.” Boun gave them a toothy smile.

Jassy was over the moon to see Boun smiling so happily and kept talking to him.

The other two men in the room felt they didn’t belong there. Especially Prem.

This was not something new for him. His mother often treated him like this when she met his friends. There were times when Prem doubted if he was actually his mother’s biological son or not. She would completely neglect him making him feel like he was picked up from some trash can on the street.

“Ahem. ahem,” Richard cleared his throat. “There are other people in this room. You Mae-Luk can catch up some other time. Now, can we make a toast to Prem for graduating?”

“Oh? I totally forgot about that.” Jassy facepalmed flashing a smile at Prem who rolled his eyes at his mother.

Boun too laughed seeing the mother-son interaction. He wasn’t feeling like an outsider there.

After the dinner Boun and Prem dropped their parents at the hotel in which they were staying.

“Phor-Mae, I will pick you guys up tomorrow morning and drop you at the airport.” Prem was leaning against the car’s hood.

“No need. Sammy and her parents are also coming with us. We will go together.” Jassy dismissed Prem’s offer.
“That is why I said I would pick you guys up,” Prem said stubbornly.

“Their son-in-law is coming to pick us up. I didn’t get to talk to him yesterday or when he came home the other day, tomorrow I need to have a chat with him.” Jassy said trying to drag her husband into the hotel.

“Mae, they have just started dating. They are not married yet.” Prem argued.

“Anyway, they are satisfied with the boy. I too think the boy is a good catch. He is understanding, caring and has a stable career. Unlike someone I know.” Jassy looked at her son from head to toe.

Prem gave his mother a fake smile. “Then we will get going.”

The duo bid goodbye to their parents.
When they reached Prem’s condo, Boun was like a dog who was given food after starving for several days.

“Calm down, Khun Golden retriever.” Prem pushed the elder who was eager to undress him to a one-arm distance. “We need to talk.”

“What?” Boun licked his looking lustfully at Prem.

“Sit down.” Prem pointed at the couch. Boun followed his orders without questions.

“You seemed pretty happy badmouthing me along with my Mae.” Prem picked up the bouquet Boun had given him and put the flowers into a vase. “Let me tell you one thing Hia. Don’t try to make a move on her. She is my Mae. She has a son and husband.”

Boun was speechless. He wanted to kill his friends who ruined his image in Prem’s mind making the younger think that he was actually trying to hit on his mother. He never hit on married people much less one who is old enough to be his mother.

“I wasn’t trying to make a move on her, Pao.” Boun got up from the couch defending himself.

“That’s good to hear. I don’t want to ruin your good-looking face.” Prem said arranging the flowers in the vase.

“Did you just call me good-looking?” Boun smirked making his way to Prem hugging him from behind.

“I am not joking, Hia,” Prem said in a serious tone.

“I’m already more than satisfied by just hitting on her son.” Boun kissed the back of Prem’s neck, leaving a red mark.

Prem stared at Boun’s sincere expression for a few minutes before freeing himself from the hug. “I am going to take a shower.” Prem grabbed a towel and headed to the washroom.

“I will help you scrub your back.” Boun followed Prem with a smile.
