Tessa smiled fondly looking at the ultrasound. She was now five months pregnant.

She gently caressed the baby bump that was hidden under her loose clothes. She was happy. She had totally let go of her love for Saen in the past three months. She had found a new reason for her existence- the baby in her belly.

The baby in her belly was the sole reason why she was willing to live. She knew that she had been a fool in the past, going against everyone just for Saen. But now she knew better.

In the past three months, Saen hadn't once contacted her. Neither did she take any initiative to contact him. he didn't even know that Tessa was pregnant.

Tessa moved out of the mansion where she lived with Saen, along with her Oreo to live with her parents. Not that she didn't want to bring Alan along with her, but the kid was too attached to his father and wouldn't listen to anyone other than Saen.

She gave up trying to persuade Alan as the latter was a miniature version of his father in every sense - selfish, hypocritical and cunning.

Tessa's car stopped in front of her family mansion. She was coming back from the hospital after her appointment with the ob-gyn.

As soon as she entered the mansion, she saw a figure walking excitedly over to her. The only person who called her every day and checked in on her despite a busy schedule in the past three months, her best friend Ann.

Ann had become her biggest support system after she broke down due to her failed marriage. Ann was the only person who had opened up about everything without trying to put on a brave face.

"Tes, I have something to tell you." Ann excitedly held Tessa's hand.

Tessa smiled hearing Ann address her by the nickname. "What is it?"

Ann was practically bouncing on her feet as she dragged Tessa into the bedroom. They settled on the couch looking at each other. She continued to hold Tessa's hand tightly without losing grip.

"Now, tell me what's going on. why are you so hyped up?" Tessa wondered what was making her best friend so giddy.

"Oh my god, this is so nerve-wracking." Ann looked at the ceiling, giggling nervously. "Alright." She took a breath and looked directly into Tessa's eyes. "I am pregnant."

Tessa was shocked for a moment but her expression soon turned to the one of joy. "Congratulations, babe." She hugged Ann.

Ann hugged her back. "I am so nervous, Tes. I - I didn't tell anyone other than you. Not even P' Seth. I came here directly after knowing that I am pregnant."

Tessa smiled affectionately seeing her friend being a nervous wreck. It reminded her of the time when she found out that she was pregnant with Alan. She was still in her final year of university and had absolutely no clue what being a mother was like.

"Ann, relax honey." Tessa cupped Ann's face. "You are going to be fine. You are going to be an amazing mother." She had seen Ann interacting with all her nephews and niece. The kids loved Ann as much as she loved them.

"Really? You think so?" Ann was uncertain.

"Yes. I am sure." Tessa grinned. "Now, tell me how you are feeling? Are you having morning sickness or something? Or any other discomfort?"

"No. I have no discomfort. But I am surely hungry." Ann munched on the biscuits that the maid just brought in.

"If you didn't have any discomfort, how did you find out?" Tessa was puzzled. In all the three times she was pregnant she had one or the other discomfort. It was nausea and vomiting in the case of Alan and Oreo while it was dizziness for Boun.

"I have been having these weird cravings lately. I have been craving things I usually didn't like to eat much." Ann stuffed her mouth with cookies that came along with the biscuits. "Also, I am hungry. Like almost all the time. Even if I eat a table full of food, in less than an hour, I will be hungry again. Hungry to the extent that I could eat a whole cow."

Tessa chuckled seeing the normally dignified lady in front of her turning into a messy eater. She grabbed a napkin and wiped off the cookie crumbs from Ann's face.

"Hmm. These cookies are so delicious." Ann groaned in pleasure. "Oh? Did I finish them all?" she noticed that she had emptied the whole plate. "Sorry." She looked guiltily at Tessa. She had forgotten to leave some for her friend.

"It's okay." Tessa smilingly patted Ann's hair. "If you like it, I will have the maids make some more for you."

"Really? You are really the best." Ann hugged Tessa, pecking her cheeks. She touched her belly and looked at her friend. "Tes, do you think that it is a demon who is growing inside my belly."

Tessa smacked Ann immediately. "Don't say something like that about your baby." She was already in love with the little bean inside her friend's belly.

"Ahh! It's making me eat so much food." Ann whined. "At this rate, I am going to be fat as a pumpkin by the time it comes out."

"You can always lose weight after delivery, Ann." Tessa consoled. Being an actress, she knew Ann had to be very careful about the way she looked.

Ann pouted. She slid down to Tessa's baby hump. "Baby, Aa is scared, na. Your Nong is making your Aa turn into a glutton." She complained to the hump.

Tessa shook her head watching her friend's antics.

"Baby, when you come out, you have to help Aa take care of your Nong, na." Ann continued to speak to the hump.

"Ouch!" Tessa yelped.

"What happened?" Ann asked worriedly.

"The baby just kicked." Tessa held her belly.

"What?" Ann looked at the belly with wide eyes.

"Ouch! It kicked again!" Tessa exclaimed in joy.

"Really?"

"Yes?" Tessa took Ann's hand and placed it in her belly. "Touch here."

The fetus kicked again and Ann was delighted to feel the kick. "Wow! That's one powerful kick."

"It is." Tessa smiled despite the pain of being kicked.

"Does that mean the baby is agreeing with me that he would help me take care of his Nong?" Ann asked expectedly.

"Maybe" Tessa shrugged.

"Yes." Ann fist-punched the air. "I love you, baby." She kissed the baby bump.

"What are my two princesses so happy about?" Jen walked into the room.

"Khun Phor, the baby just kicked," Ann answered with enthusiasm.

Jen chuckled. It was not his first grandchild. He had already experienced such a situation. "Seems like the baby is energetic." He commented.

"Tessa, what did Khun Mo say?" Tuk asked.

"The baby is healthy and it's... a boy," Tessa answered.

"Au" Jen seemed disappointed. "I was wishing for a little princess this time. We already have two brats now." He sulked.

Tuk smacked her husband for being childish.

"Dad, Mom, I have made a decision," Tessa said catching the couple's attention.
