"Oh! Now I understand!" Alan was so angry that Merlin was exposing him like that. "I should have known! I should have known long ago!" He screamed.

Merlin looked at him with an indifferent expression. She wanted to see what tricks Alan had up his sleeves.

"You are part of this conspiracy, right? You bitch! You have been cheating on me with that bastard, right? I should have known that this was coming! I should have known how all my three children resemble him more than me!" Alan pointed his finger at Boun who was innocently standing beneath the stage as a spectator.

Merlin wasn't affected by the accusations at all. She was long used to it. Among her three children, Lyra and Leon looked a lot like her youngest brother-in-law and Leah looked a lot like herself.

Alan had always found the fact annoying. Given the hate he had for Boun, it was normal that his hatred spread towards Lyra and baby Leon for resembling their uncle. He would beat the three-year-old Lyra for simple mistakes and completely neglect Leon who knew nothing more than to cry when he was hungry.

Merlin had a hard time protecting the three children and often had to take beatings on behalf of the kids so that Alan would calm down.

Hearing Alan's words, Boun snickered. He confidently climbed onto the stage "I am sorry to disappoint you Khun Alan, but this is the first time I am meeting your wife." He said with a mocking smile.

He then turned to Merlin and waied "Swadee Khrab, I am Boun Noppanut Guntachai, Khrab. It is a pleasure to finally meet my nieces' and nephew's Mae." He didn't address her as sister-in-law or as Alan's wife.

"Swadee Ja. I am Merlin Kalpita Cheancheum. The pleasure is all mine." Merlin reciprocated the greeting with a polite smile. She wished that they would have met each other in better circumstances.

"Wow! Now you two are putting on a show for everyone to see!" Alan was shooting daggers with his eyes at the two people.

"Alan, stop insulting my son and Merlin," Tessa commanded. Her empress-like aura made everyone tremble.

"Mae, not you too!" Alan exclaimed. "Those three kids that this bitch gave birth to belong to him and not me! You can tell that from just taking a look at them."

"The kids take after me, Alan. They have a resemblance to their Aa Boun because they take after me just like him." Tessa stated.

It was true. Tessa looked like the female version of Boun. Boun had almost all the same facial features as his mother including chestnut-shaped lips, a sharp jawline and a high cheekbone.

"I didn't know that you had a problem with my grandchildren resembling me," Tessa added.

"That is not what I meant, Mom" Alan was getting more and more pissed watching Tessa side with Boun. "It is that this faggot is here to create trouble for everyone. He is the mastermind behind it! He instigated my wife to go against me!"

"Who do you keep calling a 'faggot', huh?" Merlin stood face-to-face with Alan. "Aren't you one of those 'faggots' yourself?"

She eyed her husband challengingly. She was fearless. "At least, he is brave enough to embrace his sexuality unlike a spineless specimen like you, who goes behind your wife's back to sleep around with god knows who."

"You!!!" Alan was trembling in anger.

"Me what? Do you think that I have no idea about all those gigolos you keep?" Merlin asked with a mocking smile. "I just chose to keep quiet for the sake of my children" She scoffed.

SLAP

The sound of the loud slap echoed in the room. Alan had broken free from Oreo's grip and had slapped Merlin across her face.

Merlin felt her cheeks sting from the pain of the slap. Tears formed on her eyes but she was unwilling to let them fall. "Why? Are you scared that I will spill all your secrets to others? Is that why you chose to beat me up again like every time you feel stressed?"

Alan lunged forward to attack her but the bodyguards held him down. He was a businessman in his early thirties and couldn't take the robust bodyguards. He couldn't even move as they held him to the ground.

He suddenly started laughing maniacally. "You want to know why?" He asked with a smirk. He knew that he was at a complete disadvantage here and wouldn't be able to unshackle himself.

"It is because of him!" Alan glared venomously at his younger brother. "It is all because of him!"

Boun looked at his eldest brother with contempt. "What have I ever done, Khun Alan? Haven't it been always you who did things to harm me?"

"You haven't done anything?" Alan was furious. "Your mere existence is the problem! You shouldn't have existed! You should have died the very day you were born!"

"ALAN!" Tessa yelled. She was extremely angry at her eldest son.

"Why, Mom? Why are you so angry? Amn't I telling the truth?" Alan turned his gaze towards his fuming mother. "Ever since you got pregnant with him, there have only been problems in our house. You even started picking fights with Dad after you got pregnant?"

Alan still remembered that his parents used to be a sweet couple before his mother's third pregnancy. Everything changed when his father returned on the eighth month of the pregnancy and his mother started getting into arguments with his father and even moved to her maternal house for a while.

Everyone told him that it was because of the mood swings caused by the pregnancy hormones that his mother was behaving like that. But the situation got worse when those arguments turned into physical fights after the delivery. Most of the time Tessa would be injured heavily in the fight.

The calm and loving couple no longer existed and he disliked staying at home any more.

"I started picking fights with your Dad because I caught him cheating on me when I was more than a month pregnant with Boun! You must be thinking that I should have put up with it and stayed quiet just like your wife did. But, No! I could not take it lying. I had to speak up for myself!" Tessa replied casting a disgusted glance at her ex-husband.

Alan was somewhat shocked by the revelation. Even though he knew of his father's mistresses, he didn't know that Tessa had actually managed to catch his father cheating so early.

Even if the matter was true, he knew that he couldn't back down. "Then what about the position of the heir? Why did you choose him? Why did both you and Khun Pu choose him as the heir and let me be just a decorative vase when I am the firstborn? Isn't that supposed to me?"

Alan found it unfair that Boun was not only the heir of the Guntachai family but also the second in inheritance to the Dechaphatthankun family, despite not carrying the surname. In front of outsiders, he was presented as the second heir of the Dechaphatthankun family, while in reality, he was just like any other member of the family with no chance in inheriting the wealth.
