" I am going to buy a ring like that to propose to P' Ohm when he comes back. " Fluke commented staring at the platinum Florentine ring with a diamond in the center.

Prem glanced at the ring in his cousin's hand. "Are you sure that you are going to propose to him with something like that? " The ring did look a little over the top even as an engagement ring.

"Aww! My baby is just too excited about his first love confusion, " Earth cooed pinching Fluke's cheeks.

Fluke squatted his friend's hand away, pouting.

"I really find it hard to believe that you, the great Fluke Natouch Siripongthon, is the only virgin among us. " Prem snickered.

Earth high-fived him, joining in the bouts of laughter.

Fluke glared at his friends who were teasing him. They weren't wrong though. He was a virgin. A twenty-two-year-old virgin who hadn't once been in a relationship before.

Between all the teasing and making jokes, a man in a black suit approached Fluke.

Earth noticed the man whispering something to Fluke's ears. Fluke's face immediately hardened upon hearing the man.

But in a split second, it came back to normal, as if nothing had happened. With a nod of his head, the man in the black suit left.

"Fluke, what is going on?" Earth asked softly, looking all-natural in front of others.

Fluke smiled at him and spoke as if they were just chitchatting. "Go get Sammy and take the kids and the elderlies out of here."

Earth took a few seconds to come to realisation. "They are here?" It sounded more like a statement than a question.

Fluke nodded with a tight smile. "Be careful. Don't make a commotion. We shouldn't alert them yet."

Earth gulped nervously. This was one thing he learned after being adopted by the Siripongthon family, that the rich and powerful can't be at peace. With money comes power so does danger. "Are the backups here?"

"They are on their way." Fluke patted Earth's shoulders, gesturing him to get into action.

Earth quietly called Sammy over to gather the children. In a hall of about three hundred guests, there was an enormous percentage of children present. As it was a family function, it was perfectly normal.

Despite the complexity of the task given to them, they managed to take the children out of the main hall without attracting much attention.

Under Earth's command, some of Fluke's men also helped in taking the guests out of the hall.

The movements were subtle but didn't escape Tessa's eyes. She noticed Earth and Sammy disappearing from the crowd and the visibly tense Fluke who was trying his best to hide it under his angelic smile.

She could clearly see how Fluke glanced at Boun, who was busy entertaining the guest from their side, once in a while.

Tessa grabbed a drink and walked to Fluke. "Fluke what on earth is going on?" She asked quietly.

"We kind of have a situation here," Fluke said with an airy chuckle.

Tessa frowned. "What situa-"

Bang

A loud gunshot was heard. Fluke quickly pulled Tessa behind a pillar.

The whole hall was chaotic with people running here and there. Loud screams were heard as a bunch of people in black entered the hall equipped with firearms.

"What the hell is going on?" Tessa asked.

"Your husband found out that P' Boun is trying to get back together with the family and send people after him." Fluke pulled a handgun out of nowhere and handed it to Tessa. "Keep this with you. Just in case, you may need it."

Tessa looked at the handgun. She wasn't completely unfamiliar with its usage. As the only daughter of a wealthy family like the Guntachais, it would be ridiculous if she wasn't trained to use guns.

"Don't worry about the twins. Earth had already taken them out of here. As for P' Boun, P' Gillion and his men are there to protect him." Fluke was more worried about Prem. He mentally prayed that those men weren't instructed to target Prem to get Boun.

The goons shot someone to scare the already-scared crowd. Soon a full-on shoot started with the goons on the losing end. Fluke's and the Guntachai's security team were in full action as they were trying their best to avoid casualties among the guests.

Prem on the other hand was protecting his family. His parents were terrified to see the blood bath in front of them.

"Prem, who are these people? Why are they here?" Jassy was in tears. It was supposed to be a happy evening. Everything was going well until those goons showed up.

"I don't know, Mae," Prem said worriedly as they hid behind the huge flower pot. His eyes were searching for Boun.

"Por, Mae, you two please follow him and get out of here. It is not safe to stay here." Prem pushed his parents to the suited guy whom he identified as one of Fluke's guards.

"What about you? Aren't you coming with us?" Jassy was crying.

"I will come with Hia," Prem replied.

"No! you have to come with us. It is too dangerous here." Jassy was stubborn. Prem was her only child. She didn't want to lose him.

"Mae, please! Stop creating a scene and leave!" Prem was anxious.

"Prem..." Richard was begging his son with his eyes.

"Por please... take Mae with you. This is not a time to negotiate." Prem said with tears. His priority was their safety.

Bang

Another gunshot was heard. Prem shoved his parents to the suited man's hand and got out to look for Boun.

The suited man forcefully took Jassy and Richard out of the hall and led them to the exit route where Earth and Sammy were waiting for them.

Prem finally spotted Boun amongst the crowd. His eyes widened when he saw the leader of the gang had his gun pointing at Boun.

As if it was a reflex, he ran to Boun. He sprinted on as he got closer to Boun.

BANG BANG

Two consecutive gunshots were heard, just a second after Prem managed to grab Boun's hand.

"ARGH!!!" Prem groaned in pain that was emitting from his ribs as he lay on the floor.

"PAO!!!" Boun let out a scream of horror when he realised that Prem had used his own body as a human shield to protect him from the gunshot.

"P' Gillon, take him away! Take him out of here!" Fluke commanded the leader of the Guntachai guards. He knew that the primary target of the goons was Boun. As for the rest of the people who died, they were just scapegoats.

"NO! I AM NOT GOING! I AM NOT LEAVING MY PAO!" Boun tried his best to yank himself out of the bodyguards' grip but failed.

He could only watch his Pao on the floor groaning in pain as he got dragged out.

Fluke's men secured the area while he helped Prem up. He supported Prem on one side and led him to the escape tunnel while the remaining guards took down the attackers.
