63. Ditched

It had been a hectic day for Boun. The whole meeting was pretty serious and long. He had to use complete attention throughout the meeting.

He got to know that Fluke, whom his cousin Ohm had a huge crush on, was Prem’s so-called ‘soulmate’.  He was completely taken aback when he found that Kao’s first love, whom he had been searching for, for months, was actually Earth who was also Prem’s childhood friend.

The large amount of information he had gotten today was making his head spin.

“Having a headache?” Ohm passed a cup of coffee to Boun.

“Can’t we at least have some alcohol?” Boun groaned at the sight of coffee.

“No, Prem had specially instructed me to keep you away from alcohol.” Ohm sat next to Boun sipping his coffee.

“As if he is going to find out.” Boun scoffed.

“He is doing this for your own good, Boun. Try to understand his intentions.” Ohm didn’t understand why Boun was so in love with alcohol.

“If he actually cared, he wouldn’t have ditched me as soon as he saw his ‘soulmate’.” Boun sulked.

“It’s only for a night Boun. He hadn’t met his friends for so many years. Let them spend some time together. Let him have some space, Boun. Or else you will suffocate him.” Ohm was disappointed in the way Boun was treating Prem.

“The one being suffocated here is me, Ohm. He gets to control everything in my life now. Everyone around me listens to him more than me, including you and P’ Ton.”

“Prem had spoiled to bits, haven’t he?” Ohm sighed.

Boun wanted to protest against Ohm for taking Prem’s side. He knew that Prem was doing everything for him but at the moment he was too irritated that Prem left him for the night without even telling goodbye, to think straight.

“I am going to give him a call.” Boun video called Prem. The call didn’t go through on the first try. He called again.

“Swaadeee khaaa Phiiii Booounnn…” A drunk Sammy giggled as the call went through. The blurring sound of music blasting in the background.

“Are you guys in a club or something?” Boun frowned upon seeing the multi-coloured neon lighting in the background.

“I think they are at Fluke’s place.” Ohm looked closely into the screen.

“How do you know that it’s Fluke’s place? Have you been there?” Boun couldn’t help but ask.

“I arranged for him to stay at one of my condos.” Ohm shrugged.

Boun was shocked to hear that his silent cousin was making big moves as soon as he found his prey. “But how can you be sure that it’s his place? Have you gone in there?”

“No. But Fluke does live streams around the house. So, we fans know what the interior of his condo looks like.” Ohm smiled smugly.

Boun was speechless. He didn’t know how to react for a second. He felt that his cousin was a gone cause.
