85. Press conference and confusion

Hey guys,

First of all, I would like to apologize for not updating for a long time. I was just too busy that I didn't get any time to sit down and write a chapter. The last one month was hectic for me. It was my best friend's wedding and as the bridesmaid I was running around with her to get everything done.

This was my first time helping someone with the marriage arrangements and it literally took my life. I didn't even know that there were so many rituals related to the whole thing. She finally got married two days ago and finally, I was free only to be taken down by viral fever which too was happily passed onto me by my dear bestie.

Initially, I was planning on ending this book by P' Boun's birthday and launching the second season of this one. But unfortunately, I couldn't write on time or update causing all my plans to be postponed.

Anyways, as it's P' Boun's birth week, there will be multiple chapter updates on a daily basis. I can't actually guarantee the number of chapters per day as I am still bedridden with a fever of 103 degrees Fahrenheit even after three days of fever.

"Khun Patila Puangmaha and Khun Kamthorn Thongkham you are under arrest. " The police officers handcuffed the two people despite all commotion they caused.

Prem stood among the group of reporters and watched as the police arrested Peach and her manager from the crowded conference venue. He then turned his attention to his childhood friend and the three older ones who were standing there with a blank expressions.

He was feeling seriously left out. He didn't have any idea of what the rest of them were doing. Sammy was busy wither boyfriend. Fluke has been acting like a woman in her menopause with severe mood swings. And Earth, he hadn't seen Earth for almost a week. Even Boun was not contacting him or visiting him.

He had been worried sick not knowing what was going on outside the resort. He slipped out of the resort and headed to the conference venue. He panicked a bit upon reaching there seeing the overwhelming number of reporters. He didn't know if it was because his disguise was good or because he was not famous enough to be recognized by those reporters, none of them approached him, much to his relief.

He blended in with the audience and found himself a seat at the far corner of the hall, without gaining much attention from the others. He looked around but couldn't find any clue of the four people he was looking for. He could only sulk and wait.

Prem almost waited for an hour before Peach entered the venue followed by Ohm. His brows furrowed subconsciously looking at Peach who was dressed so beautifully. He knew that the conference was arranged by Peach and he didn't have a good feeling about the whole thing.

He saw a confused Boun, Earth and Kao entering the venue through the back door. He wanted to wave at them but was afraid that he might get caught in between the reporters.

And in a blink of an eye, Peach and her manager were arrested by a group of police officers and were taken away before anyone could understand anything.

"Swadee Khrap, I am Chalongrat Novsamrong, the head of SZ Entertainment. First of all, I would like to apologize to everyone for the delay. Thank you, everyone, for your patience. I know you all have so many questions about what is going on. I will explain them to you one by one." A guy dressed in a three-piece formal suit took the stage of the conference venue and gathered the attention of everyone gathered.

Prem assumed that he was P' First Earth had been talking about. During the span of the last few months, he had heard that name over a hundred times from Earth, Sammy and Boun.

Left with no other option Prem decided to sit and listen to First's explanation of the whole incident. Most of the contents of the speech First gave were already known to Prem.

He was happy when he heard that the agency was terminating the contract with Peach. This meant that a major headache was going away.

"P' Kao, Earth, do you guys understand what is going on?" Boun whispered standing behind Ohm who was looking at the scene unfold before him in a daze.

"No idea, Phi. Wasn't this supposed to be a conference held by Peach? Why is P' First here?" Earth asked in confusion.

"You guys keep calm. We can ask him after he is done." Kao said equally lost.

The trio watched the man in a police uniform take the stage.

"Swadee Khrab. I am Piamchon Damronhsunthronchai, leader of team 1 of the special squad of Police. I and my team had been working on capturing the people behind the increasing number of drug and organ smuggling within Bangkok city. Khun Patila and Khun Kamthorn were found to be members of the gang that had been operating the primary chain of supply running within Bangkok city.
I would like to thank Khun Ohm Thitiwat Ritprasert and his team for their huge contribution that helped us uncover the whole racket faster." The police officer said inviting Ohm and the rest to the stage.

"Eh?"

"Eh?"

"Ehhhh?"

Prem, who was among the audience almost laughed out loud seeing the comical expressions on the trio's face. He bit his lips holding back the impending laughter.

Earth however quickly snapped out of it and nudged the three cousins to take the stage. The four of them ascended the stage and stood there like kinder garden students waiting for the principal to punish them.

"The Police Force of Bangkok city has decided to Honour Khun Ohm with the 'Brave Citizen Award of the Year' for his courageous actions. Khun Ohm had played a major role in uncovering the hideout of the racket at the risk of being kidnapped himself." The police officer shook hands with Ohm.

The trio stood in the side watching Ohm being awarded with a framed certificate and a stash that said 'Brave Citizen'. The police officer was patting Ohm's shoulders and talking to him.

Boun slowly leaned to Earth.

"Don't ask me. I don't know." Earth said even before Boun could ask anything.

Boun turned to Kao who shrugged and shook his head in reply. He was about to say something when he saw the police officer walking to them.

"You did a very good job. Thank you for your help." The police officer congratulated each of them and shook hands.

Even though they were unaware of what was going on, they decided to play along as the media was watching.

Once the group of police officers left the venue, the four were taken to backstage by the staff while First answered all the questions that were being thrown at them.

The reporters had been behaving well when the police were around. When they left, the reporters were like street dogs who found a slab of meat, fighting each other for a bite.

It was a horrible sight and they left it to First to handle them tactically.

"I would like to use this opportunity to announce that the bl series 'You are my Blue' which was scheduled to be aired at the end of this year will be postponed until the beginning of next year. Instead, artists Khun Fluke and Khun Prem will be debuting with SZ Entertainment's new series 'The Housemates. The rest of the crew will be announced later."

"Thank you for your cooperation." First bowed in front of media.

The security professionals held the media from attacking First with more questions as he made his way backstage.

As the commotion surrounded First, Prem slipped away through the back door to find the other four. He was dying to know what was going on. Even though he had guessed most of the part, his curiosity was killing him.
