Mother Jeon, "Back in grade school, Kook had been bullied by a few boys in his class and was locked inside the bathroom. Xiao Yue was the one who informed the teacher to go and get him."
Mother Jeon's tone sounded very appreciative. "The teacher only gave the boys verbal warnings and I never found out about it. luckily, Nancy wrote me a letter and told me about it. Kook would continue to be bullied by those boys otherwise."
Nancy was the girl who brought the teacher?
Lisa was surprised.
She looked at the girl. The little girl's cute round face had grown and her features had become more delicate. She could still see a hint of her look when she was a kid.
Lisa remembered that this girl had asked Jungkook to be her boyfriend back in grade school!
But what was with that letter?
She wrote the letter while holding onto little Jungkook's hand. How did that turn into Nancy who wrote the letter?
"Aunty Jeon, I only remembered going to get the teacher. It had been so long. I can't remember whether I wrote a letter to you or not." It had been so long that Nancy couldn't remember all of the details.
Mother Jeon smiled and said, "One way or another, Aunty is still very appreciative of what you have done."
She turned toward Lisa and said, "Nancy was here to visit Kook today. Why don't you take her upstairs with you? Kook won't lose his temper with you around."
"Okay," said Lisa.
Nancy, walking next to Lisa, said to her bluntly, "I like Jungkook. Had I not gone to study abroad, I will be the one who married him."
Lisa could now see a hint of Nancy, the little girl back in the days. She found that comical. "There's no 'ifs' in this world. Besides, Jungkook doesn't like you. Regardless of whether you have studied abroad or not, you wouldn't be the one to marry him."
"I've known Jungkook since grade school." Nancy lifted her chin, looking very much like a wealthy girl that she was. "Grade school, junior high school, and senior high school. I had always been in the same class as him. I was there with him when he grew up."
"Are we competing who knew him first now?" Lisa's lips curved upward. "I've known him since kindergarten."
Nancy didn't believe her. "That's impossible!"
"I don't need you to believe me," said Lisa nonchalantly.
Nancy hit where it hurt. "You are too ugly for Jungkook."
Lisa felt that Nancy was a cute kid but how did she turn into such a jerk after she grew up?
"It doesn't matter how I look as long as Jungkook likes me." Lisa's skin was very thick. She would not bulge from just a few words from Nancy.
Nancy bit her lip and just found Lisa very annoying.
She had really wanted to marry Jungkook if it wasn't for her mother's objection.
Jungkook was normally inside his study at this hour.
Lisa pushed open the door and saw Jungkook sitting in front of the computer in his red workout clothes.
Nancy's eyes lit up. She ran up to him. "Long time no see, Jungkook. I am back from overseas."
Jungkook paid no attention to her words or her person.
Nancy wanted to touch his hand but he avoided her immediately.
Nancy sighed. She was already used to that. She had only been chasing after him since grade school.
"Have you lost some weight, Jungkook? You looked to be handsomer too?" Nancy looked up and down Jungkook. She had always had good eyes. Jungkook was, indeed, the handsomest of them all.
Lisa was unhappy now. She suddenly felt that someone was coveting what was her.
She walked over to Jungkook and leaned into his ear.
She purposefully touched the tip of Jungkook's ear with her lip and said, "Kookie, your old schoolmate's here to visit you. Why don't you say hi to her?"
As soon as she finished talking, she saw a row of little suns appearing inside the indicator over Jungkook's head.
One, two, three......
She counted. There were 7 total!
Lisa was even more unhappy now. Exactly how happy was he when he saw Nancy?
