Lisa's sprained ankle was still swollen and she needed about a week's rest. She was still hopping like a rabbit when she walked.

She saw Mother Jeon working on flower arrangement when she got down to the first floor.

"Why didn't you stay and rest in your room with your foot injury?" said Mother Jeon when she saw Lisa limping over. "You should ask someone for help so you won't risk injuring yourself again."

Lisa limped over and sat down on the couch. "It's alright. My foot is not really hurting anymore."

Even just staying at home, Mother Jeon was dressed in very dignified and delicate manner. Her extravagance that was built up over the years shown through every one of her motions.

Had Jungkook not have autism or that his illness could improve or even be cured, Mother Jeon's life would be even happier.

Lisa asked Mother Jeon if they had found out more after the driver from yesterday had been arrested.

"Dong Zhou had someone looking into it already. So far we hadn't found anything suspicious. The driver had a lot to drink and the incident was ruled a DUI preliminarily," said Mother Jeon to Lisa. "To be thorough, Mingyu will continue to follow up on this."

Lisa was surprised. Mingyu would be the one following up on it?

Mother Jeon said, "Mingyu was the one who brought it up. He said this might not be a simple DUI."

Lisa frowned. She felt that there was more to it. Perhaps it was because she didn't trust the front that Mingyu put up usually and that she didn't trust him.

Lisa asked tentatively, "Who will you side with if conflict ever happens between Jungkook and Mingyu?"

Mother Jeon smiled and said in an affirmative way, "That scenario you are describing will never happen."

Under Lisa's questioning look, Mother Jeon told her, "Mingyu loves Kook. He would let Kook have what he wants and will not have conflicts with him.

"You have no idea. Mingyu had saved Kook before in the past."

Lisa was shocked. Mingyu had saved Jungkook?

She asked curious, "Mom, tell me the story."

"Kook had fallen into a lake once and Mingyu was the first one who discovered it and immediately jumped in to save him." Mother Jeon was going down the memory lane. "If he would risk his life for Kook, he would never have conflicts with Kook. He would only let Kook have what he wants."

Lisa's brows furrowed. She felt that that couldn't be the whole story.

After witnessing what Mingyu had done to Kook in private, she could be certain that Mingyu was not a fan of Jungkook. As such, why would he risk his life for Jungkook?

Mother Jeon was not stupid. With Lisa suddenly bringing up this subject, she sensed something. Perhaps Lisa was worried that Mingyu would fight over the inheritance with Kook?

She said to Lisa subtly, "Mingyu had always defended Kook since he was a child and he still does. He is working hard on learning to manage the Jeon Corporation but the Jeon Corporation belongs to Kook. With Mingyu's help, we will be able to keep the Jeon Corporation within the family and he will be able to help out Kook."

Lisa knew fully well the reason behind Mother and Father Jeon adopted a child since childhood. Partly it was to take care of their good friend's child and partly so Jungkook would have a brother to look over him after they had passed away.

Problem was that Mingyu was a vicious tiger. He would not take care of Jungkook; he would only swallow Jungkook.

Mingyu's pretense was so good that nobody was suspicious of him. If she wanted to call him out on it, she would have to wait for him to slip somehow.
