The banquet was about to start.

Eunha noticed that Lisa had yet to be back. She was a bit worried and nervous. Had Lisa discovered something?

Eunha felt that that should not be the case. Mother Jeon's stomachache was an unexpected incident. Even the heaven was on her side.

She had the whole incident well-planned and there should have been much to give it away.

Eunha thought through the entire process, made sure that everything was fine, before she let out a sigh.

"Alright, most of the guests had arrived. Let's head out." Mother Jeon stood up.

Father Jeon quickly supported his wife. "Are you still hurting? You can stay here and rest if you want. I can go entertain the guests."

Seeing that his wife was still a bit pale, Jiyong was worried.

Mother Jeon leaned against him and said slowly, "I'm fine. You will be there with me. I'll let you know if things change."

"Alright, but remember to not push yourself too hard." Father Jeon brushed a strand of his wife's hair back behind her ear and a tenderness appeared on his otherwise solemn and handsome face.

Eunha started to say, "Mom, Lali had been gone for a while. I wonder if everything's okay. I'll go look for her."

"No need. There are a lot of guests so it makes sense that the line at the bathroom may be long. Let's head out first. The banquet is starting." Mother Jeon wasn't worried about Lisa's safety. The Jeon family owns part of this hotel. It had good security, and nobody would try to pull anything here.

Truth was, Mother Jeon figured that Lisa had gone back to the room to look for Kook.

Mother Jeon's face lightened up from the thought that the two of them were getting closer and closer together with each other.

Eunha was about to say something else but she was cut off by Mother Jeon. "Let's go."

Many guests attended Mother Jeon's birthday banquet and all of them were the rich and famous of City B.

Eunha wondered why Lisa never returned but she didn't receive a message from Han Qiu so things should be fine.

She recollected herself and walked next to Father and Mother Jeon. She smiled and greeted the other rich housewives that came up to talk to them.

"This is your first daughter-in-law?" Mr. Li looked at Eunha. She had met Lisa, the Jeon's second daughter-in-law in the past. This one didn't remotely measure up to her.

"Yes. Eunha, this is Mrs. Li."

Eunha quickly smiled and greeted her.

Another woman chimed in, "Mrs. Jeon, your daughter-in-law looks familiar. I seemed to have seen here somewhere before."

Mother Jeon, "She's an actress. Perhaps you have seen her on television before."

"An actress?" Mrs. Wu gave Eunha a loaded look.

Mother Jeon didn't have a lot of ask for the younger generation. She did not care that Eunha wanted to join the entertainment circle. From Mother Jeon's perspective, nobody would care to bully a Jeon.

The other housewives, however, didn't necessarily agree with that line of thinking.

Some wealthy people do not like those in the entertainment circle. Hearing that Eunha was an actress would, inevitably, made her look at her differently.

Most importantly, with Eunha's current look, she wasn't all that among all the other women present there.

It was said that she was from a regular family as well. Even though the first young master of the Jeon was adopted but their second young master never showed his face and was ill, First Young Master Jeon was the one taking care of the Jeon Corporation with Father Jeon right now.

It was obvious that he would be the one succeeding the Jeon Corporation. On top of the fact that First Young Master Jeon was very handsome, he had a lot of better choices.

The others couldn't understand why Jeon Shao had picked Eunha.

Ever since Eunha had stolen all of Lisa's halo, she was pretty and, with the effect from the halo, she was also the center of attention at any event.

And now, the contempt toward her in the eyes of the other women made Eunha's eyes dimmed.

If Lily could succeed today and put Lisa in a bad situation, that would allow her to take Lisa's halo back again.
