It was very windy outside and, even though Lisa couldn't feel it, but she still knew that Jungkook would be cold with just his red workout sweatshirt on.

He couldn't feel it though. His face was pale and even his lips were pale from the cold.

Lisa walked over. She touched his hand. It was icy cold.

Frowning, she said, "Jungkook, it's cold right now. You need to put more clothes on."

Even if he couldn't feel cold, it didn't mean he wouldn't get sick from it.

Jungkook pinched his lips shut and reluctantly put on a red jacket.

Lisa's eyes curved and she said, "Kookie, good boy."

The young man's brows fluttered. Under his short, black hair, the tips of his ears started to turn red.

Arriving at the classroom, Lisa noticed that the spot next to Jungkook was still empty. She sat down in it.

Lisa saw Nancy walking over in a delicate-looking lunch box shortly thereafter.

Lisa recalled Yeon Woo saying that Nancy had been bringing Jungkook breakfast the entire time, even though Jungkook wouldn't eat any of it.

Lisa must say she admired Nancy's persistency.

Nancy, with the lunchbox in hand, walked around Jungkook and was about to sit down in the spot next to him.

Jungkook stopped her the very next second. "No sit. No sit you."

Nancy was pleasantly surprised that he reacted to her this time. "Why can't I sit here? The spot is empty."

She showed him her lunchbox. "It's my birthday today and I want to have breakfast with you."

Jungkook stood up and shielded Lisa, not letting Nancy sit down. "No sit. No eat."

Nancy stared at him, irritated. "You can't even help fulfill such a small wish for me on my birthday?"

Jungkook pinched his lips shut. He said nothing and didn't look at her. As far as he was concerned, Nancy wasn't there.

"You are such......" Nancy was so mad that she wanted to jump up and down but, knowing about his illness and that he was cold and distant from everyone, she calmed down.

"Fine, I won't sit then. But you have to come to my birthday party after school to celebrate with me. I have already talked to Aunty Lu and she said that will be alright."

Jungkook said nothing.

"You must come." Nancy looked at him a couple more times before she left with the lunchbox.

Lisa remembered that Nancy had told her that she regretted making Jungkook go to her birthday party that day.

It would appear that the accident was going to happen today.

Unfortunately, Nancy was drunk at the time and didn't give her any details. She only said that she brought Jungkook to her birthday party and, Yeon Woo had talked her into doing something and her brother was hurt when saving Jungkook.

Lisa wondered whether the incident could be avoided if Jungkook didn't attend the birthday party?

Or that if she had gone with him but took him away with her, that could avoid the accident that followed as well?

She was a little curious as to what would happen today.

Lisa started pondering. She looked at the scenery outside of the window in a daze. The cold wind blew past and brought with it a few wilted leaves.

She was looking at the scenery and Jungkook, next to her, was looking at her.

When school was out, many classmates that were close to Nancy was invited to celebrate her birthday at her place.

Lisa planned to take off with Jungkook and not let him attend Nancy's birthday party. Nevertheless, three tall boys walked over, surrounded Jungkook, joked about going together, and half invited and half ushered him out with them.

Lisa turned to glare at the person behind this whole thing.

Yeon Woo, holding Nancy's hand, said, "See? Jungkook will go if there are others with him."

Lisa couldn't show up right now so she couldn't take Jungkook with her. She had no choice but followed him to the birthday party.
