The first thing you registered upon waking up was the entirely too cold floor that your exhausted body was pressing against. You rolled your head a little to move away from the lights over your head.
"What the hell?" you mumbled against the metal floor, almost slurring your words. Then you blinked a few times.
You were in a cell. Alone.
Your brows furrowed. Oh, right. The game wasn't over yet. Memories of... you weren't sure how long ago, flooded your mind.
Allura and Lotor tricked you and managed to capture you not even halfway into the game. You grit your jaw in frustration, wanting to facepalm yourself for your stupidity.
Then you realized that you were cuffed, hands bound behind your back. You sighed.
They probably took your vial of quintessence too, you didn't even need to check your belt for that.
A wiggle of your shoe revealed, though, that the most important thing was still on your body. You glanced at the few small ampoules you had shoved into your shoes before the games. It was probably your biggest ace you had up your sleeve that you needed to protect at all costs.
You couldn't use it from in here though, so you definitely needed a new plan to break out of this prison.
Was Pidge still on her guard shift? You wondered why you were all alone in here. Of course, with you knocked out, there was no chance of your breakout so whoever was watching you probably took the chance to wander the halls, but you doubted Pidge would just leave you here.
You glanced at the camera.
With the little freedom of movement you had, you managed to press a button on your wristband, engaging the microphone on your bracelet.
"Guys?" you whispered.
No response.
Since you were alone in this cell, the others couldn't have been captured like you- so why the radio silence?
You wiggled around the floor, trying to get yourself propped against the wall.
Closing your eyes, you concentrated on the cuffs. They were powered with quintessence, so manipulating them couldn't be this hard.
You envisioned the energy flowing away from the cuffs and into your arms. The link holding the cuffs together weakened. You could stretch them apart far enough to move your arms to your sides. You hummed in satisfaction.
That should be enough to move the cuffs around to your front- breaking out then should be a piece of cake.
A click of the door handle in front of you suddenly made you flinch. You immediately hid your arms behind your back again.
Bad timing, you thought. If only you had a few more minutes, you could've done something and rushed to help your team.
Only when you saw who was entering the room, did you suddenly change your mind. Your face almost betrayed you, but you forced away the smile creeping onto your face almost immediately.
Your black haired opponent stepped through the door frame- expression cold as stone and eyes analyzing and focused.
When his eyes landed on you, his face didn't change much. It seemed like he merely analyzed your state- to see if you were fine- and then decided to lean against the wall and wait for his shift to be over.
"Hi," you greeted sheepishly, almost embarrassed by your state. He nodded in response, not saying a word. Mh, you weren't sure what to make of this reaction.
