"Is he gonna be okay?"

You were all gathered around Shiro, lying unconscious in a regeneration pod. You listened to the blinking, watching the stats on the pod's screen blink.

He had been in there for a while now. Since the fight with the druids and the closing of the rifts, he had been unconscious, fighting for his life in that clone body of his. Of course, transferring your consciousness from one body to another wasn't something a person would recover from just like that. It made sense that he was in that pod, but it still stressed everyone out.

Allura put a hand to the glass, her eyebrows furrowed in worry, and replied, "Only time will tell if his body will accept Shiro's consciousness."

He laid there, face twitching ever so slightly from time to time. Shiro was probably fighting hard right now and you could do nothing but watch and wait.

Lance stepped closer, while you decided to get some distance and lean against the wall of the Black Lion. Looking at the stats wasn't doing anything but make you nervous.

Lotor and his team were waiting nearby right now, nobody wanted them inside the Black Lion, which you understood. You wondered what they were doing right now.

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Lance asked, crossing his arms. You doubted it; this was a battle Shiro had to fight alone.

"I've tried contacting the Voltron coalition," Pidge declared, intently watching the hologram screen in front of her. She had a look of confusion on her face as she scanned over the contents of her analysis. "I just can't get through to anyone. It doesn't make any sense."

She readjusted her glasses. "There might be some distortion I'm not picking up on? Maybe we need to get into the upper atmosphere for a better signal?"

Hunk shook his head. "The lions aren't going anywhere without recharging their power cores. As far as I know, Lotor's ship's completely depleted as well, right?" He said, looking at you.

You nodded, confirming. "Yes, I sent Xyra over to look over the diagnostic of his ships as well. They need a few hours to recharge."

"There's gotta be something we can do," Keith insisted, looking up from Shiro's pod that he's been staring at for the past hour.

Coran looked up, twisting his mustache as he thought of something. "Well, we are on the Dalterian Belt, home to the element faunatonium. We may be able to use it as a temporary solution."

"Faunatonium?" Lance asked, "How will that recharge the power cores?"

"Well, you know, it involves gluon field fluctuations--" "You know what? Never mind. Magic or something? Sure," he immediately interrupted, holding up a hand to get Coran to stop. You almost chuckled at that, watching Coran halt in his explanation and drop the topic. Nobody would have understood anyway.
