Since you left the deserted planet and sent Kolivan and Krolia- who had to leave to help the Blade of Marmora get back on its feet- on their way, you've been slowly drifting towards Earth.

Your Lions weren't charged and all you could do was wait. Wait and pass some time until you could, well, do anything besides sitting in your chairs and being bored.

There was no planet nearby now, only some stars in the distance lit the dark space of the universe. It felt like you were floating in some sort of nothingness. With. nothing. to. do.

"I'll... come back in a minute," you told Xyra before kicking your legs down from where they rested on the console and getting on your feet.

By opening a private channel to Keith, you told him to send Kosmo your way.

He was originally assigned to you but Kosmo just went wherever he liked and you didn't mind anyway. Keith was flying alone now, let him have the company of his wolf.

Keith complied, and in a matter of a second, the blue space wolf was standing in front of you, tail wagging and head tilted. You pet his head and kindly asked him to take you to the Black Lion. He did as you asked, then went off somewhere on his own.

Keith seemed to be talking to the rest of the team, reminding them to keep focus and not get discouraged. This boring journey was more taxing on your minds than actually fighting for your life for some reason. Being a paladin changed you all in a way; almost dying was a usual Tuesday and being in the quiet, with nothing coming to end your existence was... weird?

You smiled to yourself as you approached Keith's seat from behind.

"We knew when we started this journey we'd be low on power," he spoke into the comms. "We didn't plan on going through the galactic void, but we'll get through it."

"He's right," you agreed, when you halted behind him and set your helmet on the ground. "It may have been a little boring these past four weeks but we do have each other, so we'll be fine."

You leaned forward, siding your hands over Keith's shoulder and pulling him into a hug from behind. "Right?"

He cleared his throat, before agreeing.

The conversation steered to something else almost immediately and Keith pressed a button to exit the channel.

"Hey," he said, turning his head to look at you. You greeted him back and casually made your way around the chair and let yourself drop on his lap.

It had become routine for you to visit him these past weeks and just... sit, together, doing nothing else but talk or rest.

Also, there was no other chair in this cockpit so that was why you decided to sit, well, on him. Funnily enough, it was his idea and he still didn't seem to get used to it.
