"From all the things I pictured in my future life, nothing could have prepared me for this."

When Lance forced you and the others to a night out, you had no choice but to join them.
Through a series of completely unexpected events, though, the...

The Zaiforge cannon had been shut off.
You breathed in and out, trying to calm your racing heart. Sweat ran down your face and your cheeks were on fire.
"It worked," Sarah exclaimed from behind you. You just nodded in response.
The main threat had been taken out, but you had to act quick now.
"Sarah, I'm going to drop you off at the Atlas. You'll have to do something for me."
With quick motions, you steered Red around and rushed forward. It was no use to keep her in your ship when all she could do here was watch.
"Where are you going?" Keith asked through the comms. The others were still up there next to the cannons, shooting them down just in case they turned on again.
"Give me a second," you replied as you neared the Atlas' hangar. You opened Red's mouth and let her exit with a quick goodbye.
She gave you a thumbs up as you left, before running off to her MFE ship. It would take a few minutes for her to get Lotor and his team into the fight, but it was better than nothing. Sarah would have to take Lotor to his ship and get it back to Earth without the help of his team since only one other person fit into the narrow vehicles.
You reached out your hand and pushed a button to turn up the comms. Veronica was urging everyone about something.
"The only remaining threat is Sendak's ship. It's free falling towards Earth's surface. It's already hit terminal velocity!"
You cursed under your breath as you looked for where it was. In the distance, already through the stratosphere, you saw a massive spacecraft moving head first towards Earth. Cities were below; your scanners estimated that it would hit one of them in the fall.
"Shiro's still in there," Sam Holt exclaimed with worry.
"What?!" you shouted, before hitting the boosters and heading towards Sendak's ship. "I'll try to get him out of there then. How much time do we have?"
Before anyone could reply to that, Keith interrupted. "No, we should focus on steering the ship away instead. If you try to get him out, you'll put yourself in danger."
Your jaw tightened. He was right, although you didn't like the idea of leaving Shiro in there with Sendak.
"Okay," you agreed, "let's do that then."
Keith immediately instructed everyone to follow. You didn't hesitate for a second as you practically threw yourself against the steering handles to move Red forward. The cockpit rattled because of how fast you were descending to catch up with the falling ship.
It was getting dangerously close to the surface with only a few minutes until the inevitable crash. The only thing you could influence was whether it would take out an entire city with it or hopefully land somewhere deserted.
