"From all the things I pictured in my future life, nothing could have prepared me for this."

"Captain, I'm picking up abnormal signals from planet Drazan in the zeta-three sector."
Your head turned to Curtis, who was delivering the news while tapping away on his screen and projecting the map in the air.
You were sailing through space at the moment, waiting to pick up signals connected to Honerva. The last few day had been pretty quiet, and no one was really sure what to make of it. The Alteans had revealed some intel, but other than that progress was slow.
Shiro, who oversaw the whole process, reacted quickly, ordering to open a hailing frequency, to which Curtis complied.
"Copy."
"This is Takashi Shirogane of the Voltron-" Shiro began, before suddenly being cut off by someone you immediately recognized. A red, hairy alien with a grimace on his face that clearly showed he was not a fan of yours.
"Well, if it isn't the Voltron coalition," he remarked. He put his hands to his side, leaning closer to the camera. You backed off instinctively, feeling awkward because of the memories from before. "And here I was thinking you were afraid to show your face after ruining the last Clear Day."
"Yes, sorry about that," Coran replied, a finger in the air as he pleaded guilty. "That... was on me."
Shiro didn't seem to mind the criticism much as he continued, "We noticed a lot of activity on your planet's surface. Are you in danger?"
"Opposite!" he replied with a laugh, suddenly changing his demeanor. "We're celebrating Clear day!"
You watched Coran calculate something with his fingers. "Hang on, isn't Clear Day four movements from now?"
The alien on the other side of the call rolled his eyes. "Time dilation you snarflaf. It's right now! So unless you'd like to waste more of my time, I need to get back."
You crossed your arms, looking at Keith who was standing next to you. "What do you think Clear Day's like?" you whispered.
He shrugged. "Who knows what kind of traditions they have."
"I kinda wanna know. You think they have any info on that on this ship?"
"We can look for it later if you want to. Why are you so curious all of a sudden?"
Sighing, you looked to the side. "I dunno. I imagined it looking like some grand festival like we have on Earth. I kind of miss those days back then."
You thought back to when you first got to see a fair. It was a pretty hot summer day and you hadn't originally planned to stop by but while running errands with your father, you happened to pass by and curiosity got the best of you.
After begging for hours and negotiating to do all the chores that week, your father finally caved and decided to take you.
Of course, you left that fair with more plushies than you could carry and a smile that didn't leave your face for days.
