You sat down on one of the boxes in your Lion, which you had repurposed as a bed for your journey to Earth. Then you removed your chest armor and placed it on the ground next to you. It felt suffocating right now.

"You said you'd explain the Cyran situation earlier. You must have forgotten," he casually mentioned as he joined you on the bed.

"I didn't forget," you replied, sighing. "I just didn't feel like continuing the conversation so I left."

He nodded in understanding, mumbling a quiet, "Oh, okay," before falling silent. You felt his eyes on you, watching your face for any expression.

"There's really nothing much to say," you started. "Mardoov had me thinking he was imprisoned too- facing the same kind of torture as me. I felt sick just thinking about it back then."

You looked to the ground as you recalled the events. "Some day I was brought into this room; I was told a visitor was waiting for me. And there he was standing in front of me, looking like he always did, completely unharmed and everything; I was stressing for nothing. He told me he could free me if I just told on you guys."

You glanced to Keith, who listened with furrowed brows. "So he was scheming this whole thing with the Galra from the start."

"Yeah. He told me if I did tell on you guys, he'd be allowed into the Zirakal and he'd bid for me to save me. It was ridiculous. Of course I declined; I couldn't just leave the rest behind."

"What a coward," Keith muttered through gritted teeth. "Negotiating with the people that did these things to you. I can't even imagine what horrible intentions this guy had with you."

Keith looked angry, really angry. You saw his jaw tighten the more he thought about it.

You reached an arm out, gently placing it on his back. "It's okay, I'm fine now."

"It's not okay," he stressed, turning his head to you. "It never will be okay, (Y/N). Don't play down what he did to you."

You were taken aback by his words, halting in your tracks. Suddenly, he took you into his embrace, pressing you against his chest. You instinctively put your arms around him too.

Keith put a hand on your hair, caressing you as he said, "This guy was the reason you ended up there and then offered to buy you. What a sick loser. (Y/N), don't ever say it's fine again."

You slowly nodded, closing your eyes. You felt a weird pressure behind your eyes again, but you didn't care to hold back the tears this time.

You let them fall freely, feeling them roll down your cheek and to your chin.

"I'm sorry," you said, pressing your face closer to his chest, or rather his armor. It felt cold to the touch, but you didn't care right now. "I should've known better than to trust him."
