"From all the things I pictured in my future life, nothing could have prepared me for this."

When Lance forced you and the others to a night out, you had no choice but to join them.
Through a series of completely unexpected events, though, the...

You kept your eyes closed for 5 seconds at a time, opened them again and repeated the process. This was your way of halfway sleeping without actually falling asleep.
You were so tired. There was nothing to stimulate your mind at all. It almost felt like physics class at the Garrison. You always were on the brink of passing out from boredom there.
Ugh, but you'd much rather be stuck in that class again than here.
How much time had passed? Way too much, for all you knew.
Lance suddenly spoke up. "Wait, guys!" he shouted. You turned your head to see him pointing in front of him. "Look! There are lights!"
"Told you Lance would go crazy first," Hunk commented. He didn't seem convinced by what Lance was saying but when you followed his gaze to where he pointed, you thought you actually saw something.
"No, I see them!" Pidge yelled out, her head turned all the way to look at them as well.
It was a small speck of light at first, but with every moment, it grew bigger and bigger.
"Perhaps it's a ship," Allura said. It did seem like it at first, but some kind of creatures flew in a swarm around the light. They looked like white bats from a distance.
"No, it's... something else." You held out your hand to touch them when they got close enough. "Should we follow them?"
How did they even travel outhere, you wondered. They had their own natural glow to them, it was almost hypnotizing.
"What?" you heard Keith ask, but Hunk agreed immediately.
"Yeah, they must be heading somewhere and wherever that is must be better than here, just like, starving to death."
Keith thought about it for a moment, before finally nodding. "Alright."
He tightened his grip on your arm and told the others to do the same. "Let's follow them then. Everyone, stay together."
You all broke formation while reaching out to those creatures, so you locked your arm with Lotor again before activating your jetpack.
You just wanted to be somewhere safe again. Not out here, lost in... wherever you were.
You flew in the direction of the animals. Then, they were all gone.
In a moment's time, you found yourself only amongst your team members again. No sign of these creatures anywhere to be found.
"What? Where did they go?!" you yelled, frantically moving your head around. How could they move this quickly?!
You didn't see them anywhere. No light, no sign of them ever being here. You inhaled sharply, trying to cope with the frustration building up in your body. You clechend your fist.
