You sat down on your bed, eyes intently on your hands. The lights in the colonies had already dimmed, indicating the nighttime. Soft, blue lights shone through the windows of your room, bathing the place in a calming atmosphere.

Right at this moment, Hunk and Shiro were supposed to sneak into where they kept the collars for the game. The plan was to change the wearer ID in a random pattern so that your opposing team wouldn’t know who is actually where. Pidge would eventually figure this out- of course she would- so you would make sure the clasp on them were loosened enough for you to physically swap them out as well whenever you could.

It wouldn’t do the job entirely, but keeping Pidge occupied as much as you could was your best strategy. You couldn’t have her have enough time to outsmart you all with whatever tech aces she had up her sleeve.

A knock on your door pulled you out of your thoughts. You quickly opened the small bottle that you had warmed up in your hands and tilted it to spread a little on your finger.
You just hoped this would work as you spread the liquid on your lips, careful not to let too much enter your mouth.

Then, you let in your visitor with a smile on your face. “Hello, favorite enemy,” you jokingly greeted him.

Keith reciprocated the smile, reaching out to place a hand on your lower back as he pulled you close. “Good evening, my beautiful foe. How are you doing?”

He closed in for a kiss, and you eagerly let yourself lean into it. You almost felt bad, thinking of the hidden intentions you had, but not enough to stop. You made sure to spread the potion on your lips generously on his.

It wasn’t going to do much anyway; only mess with his… will to cooperate with the opposing team, or you, specifically.
You weren’t even sure if you’d use it, this was just you placing safety nets for when you would need them the next day.

“Are you excited for tomorrow?” you asked casually, before planting another kiss on his cheek.

“Mh,” he replied, not revealing much. “I don’t want to think too much of tomorrow right now.”

“Why?” You tilted your head. He probably didn’t want to risk revealing too much before the game. Of course- you didn’t either.

A smirk formed on his lips as he raised a hand and brushed a strand of hair behind your ear. “Because I have a pretty girl in my arms and there’s something better on my mind,” he started, before placing a kiss on your jaw, “than tomorrow.”

You couldn’t help but giggle at his advance. “Really? Like what?”

“I think you know it too. Surely, you haven’t invited me over just to talk of that silly battle.”

A hand slid behind your neck while the one on your lower back pushed you even closer to him, your middle pressing against his. You thought for a moment, before deciding that your attempts at using the potions were enough for now.

Now, it was time to indulge in a little fun.

You watched the faces of your teammates, both absolutely focused but slightly nervous at the same time. A red line shone above you, indicating that the game had not yet started.

“You guys ready for this?” you asked, looking to the massive door in front of you- the entrance to the battle field you were about to enter.

“Yeah, totally,” Lance replied, hands clasped around his bayard. He held it low, his fingers carefully placed next to the trigger.
