I'm A Part Of The Family Too

Jade was with Dean in their home in Las Vegas, she was making dinner and small talk with Dean when Dean started laughing

"Baby," he said, looking at her

"We should have a barbeque with your parents and John and Nikki soon." He said, drinking some coffee

"Oh really?" She asked smiling

She could see Dean was coming out of his shell. And it was really sweet

"I'll call Nikki and see, and you know my mom and dad always love seeing you," she said, swiping his chin lovingly

"I know, they're amazing people," he replied, smiling when she turned

Just then her phone rang. Dean walked over to where it was on the phone and smiled when he saw who it was

"It's your dad," he said, handing her the phone over the counter

"Hey dad," she said, wiping down the counter with one hand while holding the phone with the other
"What's up?" She asked

"Hey sis," she heard

She instantly smiled

"Rory?" She said, breaking out in a smile

"Are you coming out this weekend?" She asked her big sister

"What's this weekend?" Jade asked confused

"My surgery," she replied

"Your surgery? Holy fu-dge," she said, stopping herself from cursing

"Mom and dad didn't tell you? I'm going for my appendix removal, I really wanted you there," she said

"Can you put mom or dad on the phone Rory?" Jade asked, smiling at where Dean sat on the sofa

Seconds later, she heard her dad's voice

"Is everything okay?" He asked

"Um, if you consider keeping my little sister's surgery a secret, then yeah, everything is rainbows and unicorns," she spat sarcastically

She heard her dad sigh on the other side

"I'm sorry kiddo-" he began but Jade was too angry to hear his explanation so she said

"We'll talk when I get there." She said plainly before she hung up and walked into the living room beyond stressed

"You're overreacting," he said, smiling, Jade dropped her hands

"How am I overreacting?" She asked, hands finding her hips

"Come sit with me," he said, patting the space next to him

She huffed and sat with him

"Did it ever occur to you, that they were putting it off so you wouldn't unnecessarily worry?" He asked sensibly

Jade sighed

"I just wish that they'd consult me with these things," she said, looking into his eyes

"I'm a part of the family too," she said

"I know cupcake, but you do get unnecessarily worried over the most trivial things, but it's just the cautious person in you," Dean told her

"Why are you and your chubby cheeks always so damn right?" She asked, squishing Dean's face and cooing at his cute face

"God, I love you so much," she said as she leaned in closer

"I love you too," Dean replied, before he closed the gap between them
